Ga Go? Do you think that this will make the scriptures more beautiful? Most of the Sutras are in the form of questions and answers. In such cases, if the origin is not explained, and only the questions and answers are forcibly arranged, it will become unsightly like a tree with its head cut off. However, explaining the origin will make it appear closely related and grand in momentum. Vimalamitra said: If the names of the retinue are not mentioned, it cannot be established as a witness. If one goes to those places and asks, one may be able to obtain certainty, but for those who cannot do so, they will fall into the predicament of not being able to determine the meaning of the scriptures. Preventing this one-sided view, the reason is also superficial, and the boundary of the object of refutation has not been grasped. They say that what is said here is for those who are qualified to listen to the Dharma. This will bring the fault of what one has said upon oneself, because the name is not mentioned, so it is also impossible to determine who is qualified. Similarly, when it comes to "abiding," if it is explained as: the Blessed One abides in the way of the noble ones, that is, the three ways of the door of liberation; abides in the way of the gods, that is, the samadhi of the formless realm; abides in the way of Brahma, that is, the four immeasurable minds, such an explanation is irrelevant to the meaning. Because it will be explained below as abiding in the samadhi of profound appearance, these seem to be superfluous. Also, if it is explained as abiding in the way of body conduct, speech teaching, and mind samadhi, it is only adding to the complexity. When it comes to "Thus have I heard," saying "Only thus, not in other ways, in order to dispel the doubt of whether it appeared in other ways, or in other word order," and also saying "With 'Thus have I heard,' just like this, the order of words and meanings is not other." In this way, it is explained that these scriptures have no errors such as additions or omissions, which is acceptable as a kind of statement. However, regarding the number of the retinue, some say that there is a Sangha of one thousand two hundred and fifty people, and some say that there is a Sangha of about five thousand monks. Other Sutras also have such statements. If the five thousand are divided into four groups, each group is one thousand two hundred and fifty people, so these two have the same meaning, this statement also seems very foolish. Sutra
