because it becomes mine. Because such a thing is absolutely impossible. There is no such establishment on any of the general and individual knowable things. Therefore, all dharmas are without self of dharma. Entering into the state of no-self of dharma is: if the dharmas of appearance and sound do not exist in their own essence, how can they exist in the essence of others? In that state where nothing is established, the object of conceptualization is exhausted in equipoise, and one enters in a way that does not grasp anything and does not distinguish anything. In the post-attainment, one should only examine with the certainty that conforms to the reality, in order to dispel doubt and wrong conceptualization. If one thinks that the wisdom of dharma-nature is without self of dharma, and therefore the claim that it exists by its own essence is destroyed, then it is true that such an appearance of wisdom arises for those who have become clever. However, those who are extremely pure and whose wisdom is extremely clear clearly see the difference between these two. If you ask what that is, then these dharmas that appear and sound, if they exist by their own essence, must be in accordance with the appearance or in accordance with the sound. For example, when looking at a tree stump at night, it appears as a human figure. If that which appears as a human figure exists by its own essence, then it must be in accordance with the appearance and have the characteristics of a human. However, because it does not have the characteristics of a human, that which appears as a human figure is not established by its own essence. Since that which appears as a human figure is not established there, what need is there to mention the establishment of other appearances or non-appearances such as peacocks and elephants? Therefore, all the dharmas of appearance and sound are not established by their own essence because they are without self of dharma. For the wisdom of the ultimate realm, because there is no such self and self-characteristic that is believed to exist in appearances and sounds, it is without self of dharma. If one thinks about whether the essence is established or not established, or just thinks about that, then it is also without its own essence. Because the wisdom of the ultimate realm expressed by sound and mind, and the conventional wisdom with clear appearance, that which appears as the ultimate wisdom is not ultimate, and it is one's own.

Because it is not established by its own nature. Likewise, Gyaltsab Rinpoche said, "Such expressions are rough." That is to say, the object of pervasive expression of sound concepts, although similar to the aspect of the perfectly established ultimate truth, is not the ultimate truth, but is included in the conventional, the imputed, and the other-dependent. Therefore, no matter how many characteristics of the self of phenomena there are, they will not change into the way of existing as the self-nature of the perfectly established ultimate truth. Since the way of existing as the self-nature of the ultimate truth is different, because that is not truly existent, this will not become truly non-existent. For example, when a magician recites mantras focusing on a pebble, and the image of an elephant appears to people whose senses are impaired, the image of the elephant that appears as an illusion does not have the characteristic of an elephant. Therefore, although the elephant is not originally established in that place, it is not contradictory that the pebble unseen by people exists after that. That which appears as an elephant is not born from that pebble, nor is it born from anything else, nor did that pebble produce it, nor do people see that pebble itself as an elephant, nor do they see something other than the pebble as an elephant, but rather the mantra and the substance, the magician's meditation, and the attention focused on the pebble, etc., are combined, and people only see the appearance of an elephant. When they see an elephant that does not actually exist, after that, the pebble unseen by people exists. Although the elephant and the pebble are not the produced and the producer, if there is no pebble, that will not appear either. The elephant seen by people and the pebble unseen are not the same entity, and the illusory elephant does not have the characteristic of an elephant, so the pebble will not become without the characteristic of a pebble, and that pebble does not have the characteristic of an elephant, so that pebble will not become an elephant, but it will not become not a pebble. This is how it is known in the world. Similarly, apply it here as well. The realm of ultimate truth exists, and from the collection of causes and conditions of the conceptual thoughts that wrongly focus on it, and karma and afflictions, the various appearances of samsara appear to sentient beings.
