is the limit. Therefore, for a beginner, one needs a Dharma teaching with an unbroken lineage. One needs a ritual practice that is proficient and without error. One needs something that has reached the standard of recitation and practice. One needs to be certain that their respective arguments are free from doubt. One needs to be certain that their mind is focused and harmonious. One needs something that is sure to be effective if the instructions are put into practice. The realm of those who have attained accomplishment is different, so even if there is no need to ask, do not have wrong views or doubts about it. Pray with respect! Now let us enter the main text. Then, the master also traveled back the way in a short time, and presented the tantric text that had been invited from the hand of the dakini to the master. The master said, "If you pray to that dakini without any conceptualization, you will immediately attain the supreme accomplishment of Mahamudra, so I sent you for that purpose, but you are obscured by conceptual thought. Now I don't need the text, take it yourself!" Then he discarded it and showed it to others as well. He said, "I knew this before." The master spoke all the words and meanings of the tantra in that instant. After that, he continued to meditate and abide. Soon after, other invincible spirits appeared, as well as yaksha women living in the golden cave, and many yaksha women came and offered their respective mantras, tantric combinations, and accomplishments. However, because he was practicing asceticism to attain the accomplishment of Mahamudra, he temporarily abandoned them and continued to abide. After that, the master Jalandharipa said once again, "Go to the place of Oddiyana (around the 8th century AD, in the northwestern region of India, now the Swat Valley in Pakistan), request the blessings of the Vajra Dakini for these six mudras, and return quickly. Also, in the place of Oddiyana, among the many Vajra Dakinis, there is one who is different from the others, ask her." He gave the master a set of exquisite human bone ornaments. It is said that from Jalandhara to Oddiyana there are 120 yojanas (an ancient Indian unit of length, one yojana is about 11-16 kilometers). He also rushed there in one or two days, and went to the place of Oddiyana, the heroes and yoginis.

Met with the omnipresent ones. Also saw many of their wondrous magical feats. Once, attended a grand gathering of the circle of assemblies of the dakinis, and while enjoying the joyous feast of the circle of assemblies together, saw a dakini sitting at the bottom of the ranks of all, who was ugly, wearing spectacles, with uneven teeth, a body of bad color and rough, and wearing tattered clothes. 17-137 Knowing that she was the dakini prophesied by the master, said, "I was sent by the master Jalandharipa. Please bless this bone ornament." She also recited mantras, making a knot with each recitation, and then handed it back to the master Naropa. After that, the master returned, and on a secluded path, he carefully untied the knots of the dakini, and wearing the bone ornament on his body, arose the manifest wisdom of seeing the three realms, and obtained the power to go unimpeded to the underground, above ground, and above the ground. Again, untied the ornaments, put them in a container, and presented them to the master, saying, "There is such a thing." The master said with a slightly displeased manner, "The seal of the dakini should not be broken." In fact, if the seal of the dakini is not broken and offered to the master, the master will immediately grant the bone ornament, and just by wearing it on the body, one will immediately attain the supreme accomplishment, it seems. After that, he stayed there as he pleased, and because the dakini Kalavinka and the master Jalandharipa had previously given permission, many fortunate disciples gathered, and he taught them the Dharma of the Vajrayana. Those disciples also each attained a samadhi, and also arose a certain ability. After that, the master himself said, "Eye medicine riluk sword, swift-footed elixir yakshini, zombie and the underground, are the eight great siddhis." Like this, he effortlessly accomplished many material accomplishments that could be accomplished with just a small amount of ritual, and gave each of the disciples an accomplishment according to their capacity. They also practiced the remaining rituals, and obtained a small accomplishment. 17-138
