Where was he? The people of the town also asked the teacher the same question, and for a long time the teacher did not get angry. Another time, three clan leaders of the town went to a crossroads. 17-47, they saw the teacher in meditation, and one of them said, "This yogi is blind." Another said, "This is not a yogi, he is a mute." Yet another said, "This is a dead corpse." The teacher then cursed, "May you become like that!" As a result, one person went blind, one became mute, and one died on the spot. Everyone there was terrified and proclaimed that the teacher had attained accomplishment. The relatives of those people came and pleaded, and the teacher revived them again. After that, the teacher stayed in the land of Jālandhara, a place where stones and water could burn. After a long time, his name was also named after the place, and he was called the Accomplished One Jālandharipa. Once, on the Nepalese side near a self-arisen stupa, Shiva's liṅga was very miraculous. If one prayed by burying it in the ground for seven days, one could gain clairvoyance visible to the eye, as well as many subtle activities of control and increase, and in particular, activities of fierce action would be accomplished immediately. Therefore, it caused an obstruction to the Buddha's teachings. In order to subdue it, the teacher went to that place. Once, at the liṅga's worship ceremony, three kings and hundreds of thousands of people gathered. The teacher also went and pointed a threatening finger at the liṅga, and the liṅga fell upside down, kicked with its feet, and broke into many pieces. There, everyone knew that the teacher had attained accomplishment and paid homage to his feet. Afterwards, he once went to Campāraṇa. There, an evil-doing king began to destroy many temples. There was a skilled lute player among the king's gatekeepers. Someone reported that a lute player was dissatisfied with the king. The king summoned him, and the lute player played many songs and lute ensembles, and the king 17-48 and his entourage were very pleased. That lute player became a yogi and left. The king said, "These Buddhists all deceive people with illusions."

When he said this, the teacher praised the Buddha and denigrated the heretics, especially the king himself. The king ordered his attendants to execute him. There, various weapons struck him, but none harmed the teacher's body. Five hundred people tried to bind him, but his body did not move at all. The teacher clapped his hands, and half of the king's palace collapsed. The king's attendants were also frozen by his gaze and were very frightened. The king himself prostrated at the teacher's feet and asked, "What should I do?" The teacher said, "To atone for your past sins, build a temple twice as large as before. Increase the number of monks residing there by more than double. Until you die, make offerings to the monks. Your sons and descendants for seven generations should make offerings to the monks." He wrote these words on a copper plate. The king did as he was told. Another time, in the country of Malawa, the king was called Bhartṛhari (梵文天城体:भर्तृहरि,梵文罗马拟音:Bhartṛhari,汉语字面意思:Supporter) in Sanskrit, and now he is called Bharthari in colloquial language. He had 180,000 horses and 1,000 women, and lived prosperously and thriving. Knowing that it was time to subdue him, the teacher stayed in a place not far from the city. One night, many robbers came. They circled the teacher and then went to destroy the city, obtaining much wealth. They said to each other, "Today we have obtained so much wealth without any harm, it is all because of the power of that yogi, so we should all make offerings to him." So they offered him many offerings, such as a pearl necklace worth one million gold coins, and then left. 17-49 The people there reported to the king, and the king also sent people to investigate. They saw that the teacher had a lot of wealth, so they thought that the teacher was a robber and offered him to the king. The king did not investigate and tied him to a wooden stake. During the day, his body was pierced by the wooden stake, and at night, he came down from the stake and meditated. After seven days, the king also came to him. There, he saw the teacher being pierced by the wooden stake, so he broke the stake and threw it into the river.
