People would slander, saying that he was preaching ignorance as Dharma. King Indrabuti indulged in pleasures with five hundred women every day, and people would slander him. On another occasion, the king gave a full pot of vegetables to a consort, saying, "Before this cools down, offer it to Master Lawapa." The consort thought, "It's a journey of many days, how could the vegetables not cool down?" The king said, "There is a mantra for that. Close your eyes and say this: 'If it is true that Master Lawapa abides in the asceticism of sleeplessness, then may you go to the cave of Kotambhri immediately!'" She did as she was told. It is said that as soon as she opened her eyes, she was in front of the master. At that time, the master was busy giving instructions to some disciples and did not have time to attend to her for a long time. Later, the master ate most of the vegetables that were brought, and gave her a small amount that still had a little warmth, saying, "Before this cools down, take it back to the king." The consort thought, "It's a journey of twelve yojanas, how could it not cool down?" The master said, "If it is true that King Indrabuti is the supreme of pure conduct, then may you go to the king's presence immediately!' Say this, and you will arrive quickly." The consort thought, "This master is also lying. Who would believe such words that contradict what everyone sees with their own eyes?" However, she did as she was told. In an instant, she had traveled all the roads, and carrying those inauspicious signs, she arrived at the king's palace, where the king was sitting in the front hall, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of people. She handed the remaining vegetables to the king and told him what had happened before. She also showed the people the stone taken from the cave of Kotambhri, a foot bracelet taken from a river called 'River of Accomplishment' that flowed with red liquid, various accomplished medicines taken from Mount Elo, three fruits taken from the forest of Gaja Khajura, three grains taken from the forest of Skyuru, and a lotus flower taken from the Sea of Accomplishment, as evidence of the truth. Everyone was amazed and realized that the king had attained accomplishment. Later

When the king and the teacher both taught the instructions to the people of Oddiyana, they all attained siddhis and became yogis. The land of Oddiyana, which was so vast, was said to have become nearly empty. This story is slightly different from the story in the Sahajasiddhi commentary that exists in Tibet. For example, just as many stories of Tara appear in the sutras. If another action consistent with Indrabhuti and Lavapa occurs, then there will be no conflict. Also, in some examples of the Coemergent commentaries that exist in Tibet itself, that story does not appear. It seems that it is also not in some Chinese versions. In general, even in India, because the length and brevity of the treatises vary, there are debates in the Blue Annals and others, but there is no essence. As said in the story of the source of jewels, this is the fourth section of the story of the Clear Light lineage. The section on the stories of the four transmissions, such as Clear Light, merging into one. Both Teacher Indrabhuti and Lavapa, those two teachers, requested the instructions of Clear Light and Great Bliss from the siddha Jalandharipa. The country where those teachers were born was: in the western Sindhu city, in a place called Nagara Thatha, they were born into a commoner caste. However, through the power of merit, they possessed great wealth. Later, they became monks in a temple. When they requested instructions from Teacher Lavapa and were meditating, a voice came from the sky, saying, "Go to Oddiyana and meditate. There you will attain the siddhis you desire." So they went to Oddiyana and heard the instructions of all the tantras from King Indrabhuti, Sister Laksminkara, and Teacher Kacchapada. When they meditated there, on the tenth day of a certain month, they went to the charnel ground. There, they directly saw the mandala of glorious Heruka, and many Vajra Yoginis bestowed empowerment. At that very moment, they attained the state of the supreme siddhi of Mahamudra. After that, they stayed in that land for a long time and benefited sentient beings as appropriate. Once, in a city called Kotambhara...
