Therefore, he obtained inconceivable samadhi and wisdom. That yogi was Manjushri, and that woman was Tara. After that, he was always able to see the face of Manjushri. Then, he went to the east and stayed among the courtiers of King Singha V, because he was very skilled in all the arts and had great wisdom, so he temporarily agreed to be a minister. He was holding the yidam's weapon, a wooden sword. There, he promoted all the unprecedented crafts. Because he made the king govern the country according to the Dharma, the other ministers were jealous of him and said to the king, "This person is a deceiver, and his sword is also made of wood." Therefore, the king had to show the swords of all the ministers. At this time, the teacher said, "If this is done, it will be harmful to the deity himself." The king became even more suspicious and said, "Even if there is harm, you must show it." The teacher said, "Then, please cover your right eye and look with your left eye." After doing so, the light of the sword blinded the king's left eye. After that, people knew that he had attained accomplishment, and they made many offerings and respects to him, and asked him to stay. The teacher instructed, "Govern the country according to the Dharma and establish twenty foundations of Buddhism." After that, he went to the central region (referring to India). He was ordained by Khenpo Gyalwai Lha and was given the name Shantideva. There, he stayed with the panditas and ate five large bushels of rice every day. Internally, he listened to the teachings of samadhi and the Holy Manjushri, and he wrote well the Compendium of Trainings and the Compendium of Sutras. Although he was proficient in all the Dharma, he slept day and night, and to outsiders, he seemed not to be engaged in hearing, thinking, and meditating. Therefore, the monks discussed, "This person is wasting the offerings of faith and should be driven away. If we take turns reciting sutras, he will leave on his own." This was done, and finally Shantideva was also asked to recite sutras. At first, he did not agree. Under everyone's strong request, he said, "Then, I will recite a high throne." Some people began to doubt, and most people gathered together to demean him. There, the teacher sat on the lion throne and asked, "Am I reciting something that has been before, or am I reciting something that has not been before?" Everyone...

He said, "For the sake of testing, bring out what has not appeared." He taught the Bodhisattvacharyavatara, starting from the phrase, "When things and non-things, do not stand before the mind," he flew into the sky and departed. Although his body disappeared, the appearance of his voice did not cease, and he completely taught the Bodhisattvacharyavatara. At that time, the panditas who had obtained dharani remembered it. Among them, the Kashmiris recorded more than a thousand shlokas, and supplemented the praise part with their own wisdom. The easterners only had seven hundred shlokas, and put the praise part into the Madhyamakakarika, and also lacked the confession chapter and the wisdom chapter. The people in the central region did not have praise and vows to create treatises, but only as rejoicing and praise, there were a thousand shlokas. Doubts arose about this. According to the previous Tibetan history, although it was said that he lived in the auspicious city, he actually went to the city of Kalinga, which belonged to Tilinga, and heard that he lived there, so three panditas went there and asked him to go to Nalanda Monastery, but he did not agree. They asked, "Then what are you talking about when you say you want to read the Shikshasamuccaya and the Sutrasamuccaya? What are these three books?" He replied, "The Shikshasamuccaya is on the window of the house, a book written on bark in the small letters of a pandita, go and get it. Remember the Bodhisattvacharyavatara as the people in the central region remember it." There was also a forest monastery there, and he lived with about five hundred monks, and there were many wild animals in the forest. Those wild animals that came to the monastery, through the miracles of magical power, enjoyed their meat. The monks saw the wild animals entering the teacher's monastery, but did not see them coming out, and also knew that the number of wild animals was decreasing. Some people saw him eating meat from the window. So the monks began to oppose, but he revived the wild animals, made them stronger than before, and then released them and left. Those people invited him to live with wealth and respect, but he did not stay, but abandoned the signs of ordination, and left with the behavior of Ucchusma. In a place in the south, there was a dispute between the internal and external parties, and the ability
