When he became a great scholar, he went to the central region. From the teacher Dignāga, he listened again to all the pitakas along with their branches, and became a master of wisdom. He recited a hundred great sutras. He went to Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya) and made many praises to the superior deities. He practiced the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha and saw himself going to the top of the Bodhi tree. From then on, he always listened to the Dharma from the noble Akashagarbha. He stayed at Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya) for more than thirty years, teaching the Dharma. After the glorious Chandrakirti, he became the abbot of the glorious Nalanda Monastery. There, all the disciples who had committed root downfalls of Bodhisattvas could confess their downfalls before the noble Akashagarbha, whether in reality or in dreams. It is said that taking wealth from the noble Akashagarbha was enough. He himself and the Sangha did not seek the necessities of life from patrons, but asked from the sky. He also threatened the heretical opponents with an angry blue stick, making them unable to speak. He wrote a commentary on the Four Hundred Verses of Madhyamaka, explaining it as Vijnanavada. This commentary was apparently written before Chandrakirti's commentary on the Four Hundred Verses, so it was written in Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya). The commentary of the teacher Dharmapala relied on both Chandrakirti and Dharmapala. In his later years, he went to the eastern Golden Island, practiced the accomplishment of extracting essence, and finally went to the heavenly realm. It is said so. This person served as the abbot of Nalanda Monastery for a short time, and then Jayanadeva became the abbot. 16-554 His disciples were Shantideva and Virupa. The later story is that once, while studying at Nalanda Monastery, he went to Devi Kota. A woman gave him a lotus flower and a conch shell, and he took them and left. People said that he was blessed by the dakini, how pitiful. When asked what he had done, he said he wanted to throw it away, but when he threw it, it stuck to his hand and he couldn't throw it away. Later, he met a Buddhist dakini and had to ask for help. Now the inner and outer dakinis use flowers...

Account: Whoever had the earlier right caused an obstacle. When asked if there was another way, it was said: If you go beyond five yojanas, you will be liberated, but the sun has already set, so it is impossible to reach. So, in a certain inn, he stayed under an overturned pot, and meditated on emptiness. That night, the flesh-eating demons called out to each of the people there. Knowing that it was not the one who had been blessed before, they sent him back again and again. Without seeing Virupa, dawn broke and those demons departed. Then, having fled and returned to Nalanda and become a pandita, he thought that now he must subdue the flesh-eating demons, and went to the southern Glorious Mountain. He requested Yamantaka from the teacher Nagarjuna Bodhi and meditated, and one day he directly saw the face of the deity. It is said that he meditated for a long time and became one with the Glorious Wrathful One. Then, when he went to Devi Kota again, the former non-Buddhist dakinis said, 'The one who was blessed before has come.' At night, when a terrifying form came to devour him, he stood in the mandala of Yamantaka. Those dakinis fainted and were on the verge of death. Having placed them under oath, he came to Nalanda. From then on, he went on his conduct. The remaining history can be learned elsewhere. As for Shantideva: He was born as the son of the king of Saurashtra. Due to the power of past karma, he saw Manjushri in a dream from a young age. When he grew up, he was to be appointed as king, but in a dream, Manjushri sat on the throne where he was to be appointed as king and said: 'Child, this is my seat. I am your spiritual friend. It is not proper in any way for you and I to sit on the same seat.' After saying this, the Holy Tara manifested as his mother and poured hot water on his head. When he asked what it was, she replied, 'Kingship is the unbearable hot water of hell, and this is empowering you.' Knowing that he could not take the throne, he fled the night before he was to be enthroned the next day. Having gone there for twenty-one days, when he started to drink from a spring at the base of a forest, a woman stopped him and gave him other delicious water to drink. She led him to the dwelling of a yogi deep in the forest. From him, he received the correct instructions and meditated.
