Samar. A Buddha's tooth appeared, and the disciples of the teacher Gedun Bang, the poet and secret giver, and the retinue of disciples of Chöbang, such as Ratnamati, practiced the Dharma in fourfold ways, hundreds and thousands, and made offerings to the Buddha's tooth. Its lineage is now at Pukang. The glorious Chandrakirti was born in the south of Samanta, and from a young age, he studied all the fields of knowledge. He became a monk in that southern land and became proficient in all the Tripitaka. From the many disciples of Lekden and Kamalabuddhi, a disciple of Buddhapalita, he received all the treatises and instructions of Nagarjuna. He became a great scholar among scholars and served as the abbot of Nalanda Monastery. He composed the Root Wisdom, the Introduction to the Middle Way, the Four Hundred Verses, the Three Treatises, and the Commentary on the Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning, and made the tradition of Buddhapalita very prosperous. There, he milked milk from a cow painted on a picture, and satisfied all the monks with milk porridge. His hand could pass through stone pillars without obstruction, and his body could pass through walls without obstruction, and there were many wonderful sights. And he defeated many heretical opponents. Eventually, he went to the southern region, and in the land of Gongkuna, he defeated many heretical opponents. He brought most of the Brahmins and householders into Buddhism and established many large Dharma foundations. Later, he wanted to rely on the Mantrayana path to attain supreme accomplishment on the mountain called Manu Banga. After residing there for a long time, the mantra masters believed that he had transformed into a rainbow body. According to Tibetan history, he lived for three hundred years and rode a stone lion to repel the Turkish army, displaying special feats. The latter may be possible, but the former, if he had become a rainbow body, there would be no death, so even three hundred years would be unbearable. If it is thought that he lived in the human realm for so long with a mature, coarse body, then it is clearly unreasonable. The teacher Chandragomin was an easterner, a pandita who saw the face of the Holy Avalokiteshvara in Lundra, and debated with a heretical Lokayata teacher, refuting his doctrine.

Furthermore, since intelligence is analyzed by the mind, whoever has sharp intelligence will be victorious. Since there is no direct evidence of previous and subsequent births, we do not want it. Having the king and others as witnesses, he said, 'I will take birth, so give me a mark on my forehead.' He made a vermillion dot on his forehead that was absorbed into the flesh. He put a pearl in his mouth and died there. His body was placed in a copper vessel and sealed with the king's seal. He agreed to be born as the son of a royal family pandit named Visheshaga. Therefore, as soon as a handsome boy was born, there was a vermillion line on his forehead and a pearl in his mouth. The king and others examined the previous corpse and saw that 16-544 the vermillion line on the forehead had also faded. The mark of the pearl was clearly visible. Then the non-Buddhists also began to believe in previous and subsequent births. As soon as the boy was born, he prostrated to his mother and said, 'Didn't you suffer for ten months?' Thinking that it was a bad omen for a child to speak as soon as he was born, he was told to be quiet. After that, since he did not speak for seven years, he was thought to be dumb. Then a non-Buddhist opponent composed a very difficult poetic verse, the meaning of which refuted the philosophy of the Buddhists, and presented it to the king and the assembly of scholars. Then, coming to Visheshaga's house, he examined it for a long time but could not understand the meaning of the words, let alone give an answer. Thinking about the matter, he went out of the house on business. Then Chandragomi, who was seven years old, looked at it and understood the meaning and did not find it difficult to answer. He wrote a small booklet explaining its meaning and also wrote a verse of reply. When the father came home and saw it written, he asked Chandragomi's mother, 'Who came to the house?' 'No one else came, the dumb boy looked and wrote.' Then the father asked the son, and he kept looking at his mother's face. The mother said, 'Speak.' The boy said, 'I wrote this, it is not difficult to defeat this opponent.' Then, when Chandragomi and the non-Buddhist teacher sat down for a debate, Chandragomi...
