And, the one who explained the Ornament for Clear Realization as the meaning of Madhyamaka that speaks of no self-nature, and is the author of the treatises that combine all the Sutra Ornaments. Since there was no such thing before this teacher appeared, it is said that the reason why the light of the Twenty Thousand Verses was not previously experienced by others is like that. Eventually, he became the lama of a small kingdom in the east. He became the master of about twenty-four monasteries, and when he ordered the Prajnaparamita to be preached, even when the number of monks listening to the Sherdo Sutra was small, thousands gathered, which lasted for about thirty years. It is said that this teacher is the first bhumi in both China and Tibet, and that he is a practitioner of the path of joining, so although he is not an actual noble being, he is included in the category of noble beings because he is close to them. And, although he is an ordinary person, the "noble" in the so-called "Noble Liberation Group" is just a part of the name, just as a king who has converted to the Buddha cannot become a Buddha. There are also many who say that he is a Bodhisattva who has preceded the inferior path, etc. But it does not seem that anyone disputes that he is a supreme and wonderful being. Who knows how his mind stream arises and is realized? From his behavior, he seems to be a faithful practitioner of an ordinary person. The retinue of Teacher Konchok Sum (དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་) is that he heard the Abhidharma Pitaka from Teacher Vasubandhu, and relied on many holders of the Pitaka from other different regions. He became very close friends with Teacher Dignaga (ཕྱོགས་ཀྱི་གླང་པོ་), and was one of the disciples who listened to Dignaga teaching the Prajnaparamita. He was famous for having wisdom equal to Dignaga, and also wrote a commentary on the condensed meaning of the Eight Thousand Verses. Dignaga also wrote a condensed meaning for the Praise of Immeasurable Qualities written by him. Some consider the retinue of Teacher Konchok Sum (དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་) to be the name of Teacher Hero (དཔའ་བོ་). Because Dignaga supplemented the Praise of One Hundred and Fifty Verses with alternating praises, he is a hero, and those who write Dharma history, saying that Dignaga is both a teacher and a student, either heard an incorrect history, or even if they heard a correct history, it is an uncertain fabrication. Moreover, the words of Dignaga in the alternating praises are all in the Praise of One Hundred and Fifty Verses.

That word and that word's connection, or only to clarify the meaning, are added to the commentary, it is not that those two scholars wrote to each other. Later, that scholar went to the southern region, became the abbot of many monasteries, and taught the Dharma to many people. He went to the place of Drāvala, newly established more than fifty great Dharma seats, and made the Dharma prosper for a long time. Finally, he accomplished the Yaksha woman and went to the mountain king called Hundred Flower Mountain. The upasaka Śāntivarman's going to Potala was also at the same time as this. In the forest of the place of Puṇḍravardhana, that upasaka practiced Avalokiteśvara and almost signs of accomplishment appeared. The king named Śubhasāra dreamed that if Avalokiteśvara was invited to this place, the famine and plague in Jambudvīpa would stop and become peaceful. For this purpose, send this upasaka living in the forest to Potala. The king summoned the upasaka, gave him a pearl necklace and a letter of invitation, and also gave him food for the road. The upasaka thought, the road is difficult and long, and there may be danger to life, but to go to the place where the yidam deity resides, it is not right to disobey this instruction, so he took the Potala route map and left. Finally, he arrived at the stupa of Śrī Dhānyakaṭaka in Dhanaśrī Island. From there, the road to Potala, passing slightly underground, is said that now because the sea has flooded, the land is submerged, and people cannot pass. In the past, at that time, there was a road, so he passed through it. There, he encountered a large river that he could not cross, and according to the route map, he prayed to Tārā, and an old woman rowed a boat to cross him. He also encountered a lake that he could not cross, and prayed to Krodheśvarī, and a young girl rowed a boat to cross him. He also encountered the edge of the forest burning with fire that he could not pass, and prayed to Hayagrīva, and rain fell to extinguish the fire. The thunder guided the way. He also encountered a bottomless gorge with many fathoms, and the road was blocked and he could not pass, and prayed to Ekajaṭā,

He made a bridge with a large camel and went over it. Then, many monkeys as big as elephants blocked the way. After praying to Amoghapasha, those big monkeys opened the way and gave good food. Then he reached the foot of Mount Potala and could not climb the rocky mountain. After praying to Holy Avalokiteśvara, a rope ladder appeared, and he climbed it. Then, all directions were covered with fog, and he could not find the way. After praying for a long time, the fog cleared. On one-third of that mountain, he saw the statue of Tara, and on the mountainside, he saw the statue of Wrathful Mother, etc. When he reached the top of the mountain, there was nothing in the empty palace except Toreva flowers. There, he prayed in one direction and stayed for a month. One day, a woman came and said that the Holy One had come, come here, and led him, opening a thousand layers of doors of the palace. Each time a door was opened, a samadhi arose. He met the Holy Five Deities in person. He scattered flowers on the statues. He offered the king's letter and offerings. He prayed for him to come to Jambudvipa, and the Holy One agreed and gave the upasaka many paṇas (藏文,梵文天城体,pa ṇa,梵文罗马拟音,贝币) for travel expenses. Relying on this much living expenses, you will be able to return to your country, and come again when the paṇas are used up. Having said this, he showed the way. The statues on the mountainside and one-third of the foot of the mountain were also seen in person. When he came back, he would reach his place in fifteen days. On the fourteenth day, when fourteen days had passed, he saw Mount Pundavardhana and was very happy. He bought more food with the remaining paṇas and ate it. Before reaching the king's city, when he was approaching his hermitage, the paṇas ran out. He sat there, thinking whether the Holy One would come, but he did not think so. In the middle of the night, when he fell asleep, he heard the sound of musical instruments and woke up. In the sky, the gods were making offerings. When asked who they were making offerings to, they replied, "The ignorant child of Jambudvipa, the Holy One with his retinue has descended on the tree you are relying on." When he looked, the five deities had descended in person on the surface of the tree, so he prostrated and prayed. He prayed for them to come to the king's city, and they replied, "It would be like that when the paṇas are not used up first, but now stay here."
