Then, immediately transforming everything into virtue, he did not diminish from the merits of his own practice. The teacher Lodro Tenpa (བློ་གྲོས་བརྟན་པ་) was such that when the teacher Vasubandhu (དབྱིག་གཉེན་) recited all the scriptures known as ninety-nine hundred thousand sections, an intelligent pigeon would perch on his shoulder and listen with great reverence. After it died, it was born as the son of a merchant in a place called Danta Karanya (དནྚ་ཀ་ར་ནྱ་) in the south. As soon as he was born, he asked where the teacher was staying. When asked who the teacher was, he said, "It is Vasubandhu (དབྱིག་གཉེན་), he is staying in Magadha (མ་ག་དྷཱ)." When asked to the local merchants, they also said he was staying there. At the age of seven, he was taken to the teacher Vasubandhu (དབྱིག་གཉེན་) to study, and he understood without difficulty. At that time, he found a handful of peas and wondered if he could eat them, and he was in a Tara temple. He thought that he could not eat without offering them to the Holy Mother, so he offered some peas, but they rolled away. He thought that he could not eat them himself without the Holy Mother partaking of them, so he offered them one by one, but the peas still rolled away, and so the child cried. The Holy Mother showed her face directly and said, "Do not cry, I will bless you." At that moment, he became infinitely wise, and that statue was also known as Maha Tara (མ་ཥ་ཏཱ་ར་). Later, he became an elder who held the three baskets, and in particular, he was learned in all the Abhidharma of the Great and Small Vehicles, and he recited to the Noble Konchok Tsekpa Everything he did was prophesied by the Holy Mother Tara. He also wrote forty-nine works on the Konchok Tsekpa Sutra and commentaries on the Root Verses on the Middle Way. Soon after the teacher Vasubandhu (དབྱིག་གཉེན་) passed away, he defeated many non-Buddhists, including Beshta Bala (བེཥྚ་བཱ་ལ་), and became known as the Lord of Speech. It is said that most of the commentaries written by the teacher Vasubandhu (དབྱིག་གཉེན་) were explanations, and he also wrote many commentaries on the scriptures. It is said that he also wrote a commentary on the Abhidharma Kosha, but it is not known whether it was this teacher. Since most of the monasteries established in the time of the earlier teachers no longer existed at that time, it is said that this teacher also established a hundred monasteries. The teacher Dignaga (ཕྱོགས་ཀྱི་གླང་པོ་) was born into a Brahmin family in a place near the city of Singha Bakta (སིངྒ་བཀྟ་) in the south, near the region of Kanchi (ཀཉྩི).

Also, a person who was extremely proficient in all non-Buddhist doctrines, ordained from the abbot of the Sthavira school, who held the doctrine of that school, named Nāgadatta, also called Elephant Gift, and became proficient in the three baskets of the Hearers. After requesting instructions from that abbot, the abbot bestowed the instruction to seek the inexpressible self. There, after examining and searching, he did not see its existence. During the day, he opened all the windows, and at night, he lit butter lamps in the four directions, stripped his body naked, and looked both inside and out. When a friend saw him doing this, he told the abbot, and the abbot also asked him. He said, "I am dull and foolish, with low intelligence, and I have not seen what the abbot pointed out. Therefore, I wonder if it is obscured by an obscuration, so I am doing this to see." The abbot also pointed out the various intellects that actually obstruct it. The abbot angrily said, "You are satirizing my doctrine, do not stay here!" He expelled him from a place where he should not have been expelled. Although he could have refuted him with reason at that time, it was not appropriate, so he prostrated and left. Eventually, he went to the teacher Vasubandhu, and heard all the scriptures of the Great and Small Vehicles. It is said that he eventually memorized about five hundred sutras, including the Great and Small Vehicles and dharani mantras. In particular, he received knowledge mantras from a mantra master, and through practice, he directly saw the face of the noble Manjushri, and listened to the Dharma according to his wishes. 16-530 He lived in a stone mountain cave called Bhota Saila in a very secluded forest in the land of Oḍiviśa, and single-mindedly strived for meditation. After a few years had passed, a great non-Buddhist debate arose in glorious Nālandā. There, a Brahmin named Sudurjaya, who had directly seen the deity he had practiced, was extremely proficient in logic, and difficult to defeat, also gathered there. The Buddhists there were unable to debate, so they invited the teacher Dignāga from the east. He defeated that non-Buddhist three times, and refuted all the non-Buddhist opponents who had gathered there one by one, and propagated the Buddha's
