He proclaims the scriptures. He teaches the Dharma to Brahmins and householders. At another time, many Brahmins and householders of Varanasi became weary of the many begging monks. They said that it seemed the monks had no other place to beg, and that there was no place more enjoyable than Varanasi. They also said that if we must support you, you give us nothing in return. At that time, the noble Nyimagungpa Arhat, surrounded by a retinue of ten thousand, flew through the sky and arrived at Mount Ushira in the north. There, a householder named Aja gathered all the Sangha from the four directions and made a festival offering for one year, gathering forty-four thousand Arhats. Due to this circumstance, the Dharma became especially prosperous in the north. Thus, Nyimagungpa taught the Dharma at Ushira for three years. At that time, the noble Shana's-clothing dwelled in Shravasti, teaching the Dharma to the fourfold assembly, and nearly a thousand Arhats appeared. In the past, when King Ajatashatru reigned, there were some Brahmins who did not conform to the Dharma, were very wicked and cruel, ate unclean food, and slaughtered various living beings. There were two men named Pana and Nava. Because they had stolen from some houses, the king had their hands cut off. They were very angry and made offerings to many Arhats, and vowed that by this root of virtue they would become yakshas and destroy the king and the people of Magadha. Once, the two of them died of plague and were reborn as yakshas. When King Lakzang had reigned for seven or eight years, the two of them obtained the status of yakshas in Magadha and spread a severe plague in the region. Many people and livestock died there, and the plague could not be stopped. When the diviners learned of this, the people of Magadha invited the noble Shana's-clothing from Shravasti and prayed for him to subdue the two yakshas.

Therefore, the two of them went to a mountain called Gurba and stayed in a Yaksha's cave. At that time, the two Yakshas went to the presence of other Yakshas and were persuaded by another Yaksha friend. When they returned, they were very angry, and the rocks of the cave collapsed. Then another cave appeared, where the noble one wearing Shana's clothes was staying. After going there three times like that, the two of them lit a fire. The Arhat lit a fire even bigger than that, burning in ten directions. The two Yakshas were frightened and ran away. All directions were burning, and they could not find a place to escape. They sought refuge in the one wearing Shana's clothes, and the fire was extinguished. Then, he preached the Dharma, and they became very devoted, and were placed in the position of taking refuge and observing the precepts. Soon after, the plague also subsided. Brahmins and hundreds and thousands of householders saw such miracles. This is the story that happened during the time of King Lagsang, the second story. Third, the story that happened during the time of King Zhuzang. After the king passed away, his son Zhuzang ruled the kingdom, which was at the same time as Nyimagungpa conquering Kashmir. Nyimagungpa went to the place of Kashmir through miraculous power and stayed by the lake where the Nagas lived. At that time, the Naga King Auduṣṭa (藏文:ཨཽ་དུཥྚ་,梵文天城体:Auduṣṭa,梵文罗马拟音:Audusta,汉语字面意思:奥杜什塔) and his entourage were all angry and dropped a heavy hailstorm, but the edge of the Dharma robe did not move. The rain of various weapons turned into flowers, and the Nagas came in person and asked what the noble one wanted. The noble one said, "Please give land." They asked how much land was needed. He said, "Enough land to cover one cross-legged posture." The Nagas said, "Then we offer it." There, through miraculous power, one cross-legged posture pressed down the land of nine regions of Kashmir. The Nagas said, "How many attendants does the noble one have? Five hundred. If one is missing, the land will be taken back." The noble one said, "This land was prophesied by the Teacher to be a place suitable for Vipassanā. Where there is a giver, there is a beggar, so Brahmins and householders must also enter." Having said that, he brought five hundred attendants of Nyimagungpa from Ushir, and hundreds and thousands of Brahmins and householders from Varanasi who were very devoted to the Dharma, and together they entered Kashmir. Then gradually in various places
