If there is a universally applicable truth, then even if other very true things are said, they cannot be heard. If one feels uneasy in one's heart, then to speak truthfully here, in the commentary on the "Four Hundred Verses," the teacher Chandrakirti also said that he was the son of the king of Simhala. This is also how it is circulated in the original stories of India. If it is said like this, the king of Simhala, named Pañcaśrīgaṃ, had a famous son. When he grew up, although he was established as the crown prince, he preferred to be ordained. He was ordained and fully ordained by the Khenpo Hemadeva. After mastering all three pitakas, he came to Jambudvipa to visit the temples and stupas in various places. When the teacher Nagarjuna was about to go from the place of King Dekye to Mount Shri, he met him and served the teacher's lotus feet on Mount Shri, and obtained many accomplishments such as the elixir of life, and finally entrusted the teachings of the essence of the heart. After the death of the teacher Nagarjuna, in the southern regions near him, he benefited sentient beings through disciples and listening to teachings. He obtained resources from mountain gods and tree gods, and built twenty-four monasteries. The yaksha woman Kalasanga offered the necessities of life, and established a seat of Mahayana Dharma in all these places. At that time, in the east, in a place called Korta in the city of Lini, a Brahmin named Thubkānapo appeared, and he went to all the places and defeated the Buddhist teachings through debate. When he came to glorious Nalanda, the Buddhists were unable to debate with him, so they wrote a letter inviting the teacher Aryadeva and made a torma to Mahakala. At this time, a crow appeared from the heart of the naturally formed stone statue of Mahakala. A letter was attached to the crow's neck, and it flew to the south and handed it to the teacher. The teacher also knew that it was time to subdue, so he relied on the flying medicine and quickly came. On the way, a woman of a heretical caste needed the eyes of a learned bhikshu for the sake of accomplishing the medicine.

After appearing, he asked him for one eye, and he gave it to him. After about a tun time, he arrived at Nālandā. There, the allies of the heretics, the sister Paṇḍita, Nezo, and Tolekor, were subdued by laypeople who had broken their vows, cats, and pots of black ghee. All directions were bound by vidyā-mantras and surrounded by rags and the like, so that even the Great Lord himself could not enter. After a long debate, the teacher defeated them three times. They tried to escape from the sky by the power of vidyā-mantras, but the teacher bound and seized their mantras and imprisoned them in a temple. When they read the scriptures, they saw the sūtra that prophesied the future, and regretted doing what should not have been done to what had been taught before. Their faith in the Buddha greatly increased, so they renounced and soon became holders of the three baskets. After that, the teacher Āryadeva also stayed at Nālandā for a long time, and finally went to the south, where he greatly benefited sentient beings. In a place called Rāmaganatha near Kanchi, he entrusted the teachings of the heart essence to Rāhula Bhadra and passed away. At the same time as the teacher Āryadeva, in the south there was a teacher named Nāgabodhi, whose real name was Tathāgatabhadra. He was invited by the nāgas and went to the nāga realm seven times. He explained many Mahāyāna sūtras and slightly clarified the Yogācāra Madhyamaka. The Praise to the Three Bodies, which is now translated into Tibetan, was also composed by this teacher. In particular, this teacher also composed a treatise called the Praise of the Heart Essence. At that time, in most of the southern regions, such as Vidyānagara, even the boys and girls of the towns were singing the verses of the Tathāgatagarbha Sūtra. He propagated the Dharma so much that he later served as the abbot of glorious Nālandā for a long time. This teacher was also a disciple of Nāgārjuna. Also, in the land of Bengal in the east, there were two old Brahmin couples who also had a son
