Thinking so, he put it in a cellar of a house and locked the door. Then the next morning, Gaṅpo summoned many naked ones, and they sat on the roof of Palbe's house. There, the Blessed One said to Ānanda: Do not let anyone go before the Blessed One. Then, the Teacher himself led the Sangha to Palbe's house. The gods of the Light Garden and the gods of Rajagriha on the way requested not to go, but the Blessed One taught that there was no harm from fire and poison, and then went. Then, when the Blessed One placed his foot on the fire pit, the fire pit became a clear pond, covered with various flowers such as lotuses, and various water birds swam in it. The gods also rained down flowers from the sky. The Blessed One 16-178 placed his foot on the center of those lotuses and walked on, and the Shravakas also came after him. When Palbe saw this, he was amazed. Gaṅpo said: Do you believe in Gautama's magic? Palbe said: If you can perform such magic, why don't you show it? Then, Gaṅpo and the others, those naked ones, were ashamed and quickly fled from another door out of shame. The sister of Fire-born was very uncomfortable staying there. There, Palbe opened the door and said: Come here! Pay homage to the Teacher. But she did not believe it at first. After saying it two or three times, she believed it. Because Palbe himself was embarrassed to go before the Teacher, the sister of Fire-born took Palbe and, after asking for forgiveness, said: Blessed One and your retinue, please stay for a while. These foods are mixed with poison, so please prepare the antidote first. The Blessed One said: If the householder has abandoned the poison of desire, hatred, and ignorance, what use is this ordinary poison? Bring what is mixed with poison! Then, the sound of "Saṃprāpta" arose, and then he ate the poisonous food. Palbe thought: Although the Blessed One has abandoned the three poisons, all his retinue have not abandoned them, so the poison will harm the monks.

No one was harmed, yet great wonder arose. Then, after the meal was finished, Palbe (དཔལ་སྦེད་) listened to the Dharma and saw the truth. From then on, he closed the doors to the heretics and opened the doors to the fourfold assembly, thus he proclaimed. The Seventieth: The Ordination of Meskye The Seventieth: The Ordination of Meskye is about the householder Meskye, who, after his father passed away, also built a stupa on the side where his mother had not yet died. He experienced the wealth of the gods. 16-179 In his house, there was no distinction between day and night. When King Tsukchen Nyingpo went to his house, even after seven days, he perceived it as only one day. Later, when Ajatashatru ascended the throne, Meskye's house and the king's palace were exchanged seven times, but wherever Ajatashatru resided became ordinary. His house remained like the immeasurable palace of the gods, so he sent troops to plunder it, but the armored men were drawn to the eaves of his house like magnets and hung like bells. It is also said that. Then, he gave away all his possessions and went before the Teacher. He was fully ordained with "Come hither" and became an Arhat. The Seventy-first: The Story of the Child-Stealing Demoness The Seventy-first: The Story of the Child-Stealing Demoness is about how, in Magadha, the Yaksha Five-Peaks married the Yaksha Sati's daughter, Delightful Mother, and she gave birth to one to five hundred sons in succession. At that time, Delightful Mother, proud of her sons, did not listen even to Five-Peaks, and separated from the household, wandering in the mountains, forests, and uncertain places. Then, in Magadha, all pregnant women, the beings in their wombs died, and all the children born also died, not one survived. The diviners urged that because the Yaksha was angry, they should make a torma. So the king and all the people decorated the city with all kinds of ornaments, and greatly worshipped the gods and Yakshas, but it was of no use. The gods of the king's city prophesied: The Yaksha woman Delightful Mother will harm you, please ask the Blessed One to subdue her. Then, the assembly of people said, this one is stealing the sons of Magadha
