Then he came and prostrated at the feet of the Buddha, offering immeasurable offerings. During that time, Indra, the lord of the gods, asked and answered many questions. Indra was pleased and said: In the world with gods, there is no one like you. Great hero, I salute you! Supreme being, I prostrate to you! And so on, praising him. Then, the Buddha preached the Dharma, and the leader of the gods, Indra, along with eighty thousand others, gave birth to the Dharma eye, which is without dust and stainless. While sitting on that seat in that place, at the very end of seeing the truth, Indra passed away. Immediately after passing away, he was reborn as Indra in that very place. This passing away and being born is realized in the blink of an eye and the moment of disappearance. The gods other than Indra himself and the gods of bliss and so on do not know. Then those gods and Gandharvas went for refuge and took the five precepts correctly. They bowed their heads three times at the feet of the Bhagavan, circumambulated three times, and then went backwards facing forward, and when the Bhagavan went to a place invisible to the eye, they bowed again and disappeared. The eighty-eighth, Anathapindika being placed in truth. The eighty-eighth, Anathapindika being placed in truth: At that time, in Shravasti, the houses of Anathapindika's own six sons were already built. In order to take a bride for the seventh son, Sukirti, and build a new house, he carried a hundred elephants from the snowy mountains, a hundred horses, a hundred gold ornaments, a hundred mule carts, and a hundred girls from the land of Tokhar as dowry. In addition, in order to meet the needs of King Bimbisara giving a hundred great snow mountain elephants to King Prasenajit and so on, he came to Rajagriha. In the evening, he stayed in the house of the bride's father. The next morning, the benefactor wanted to invite the Buddha and the Sangha, so he got up at dawn and prepared a large meal with his servants. Anathapindika saw this and asked: Are you holding a wedding? Or are you preparing a feast for the merchants?

When asked about inviting King Subhuti and others, he replied, "It's not those, but inviting the Buddha, along with the Sangha, for offerings." Upon hearing the word "Buddha," he felt a thrill and asked, "What are the Buddha and the Sangha like?" After he explained in detail, Anathapindika developed great faith and asked, "Where does the Blessed One reside? Is it possible to see his face?" He replied, "He resides in the Cool Grove charnel ground. If you go there, you will see me." After that, Anathapindika, with mindfulness focused on the Buddha, slept for a while. When he woke up, through the power of the recollection of the perception of light, in that very night, as if it were dawn, he saw all directions illuminated. Then he got up and went towards the south gate. At that time, a messenger opened the gate for the sake of travel, and he happened to go out of the city, but it was not yet dawn and it was dark. He thought, "Will I be harmed by humans or non-humans?" As he wanted to return, the deity residing at that gate illuminated all the area from that direction to the Cool Grove charnel ground and said, "A hundred horses and a hundred gold ornaments, a hundred mule carts, piled with various treasures, a hundred mare carts, taking one step at a time, even one-sixteenth cannot be endured." Thus he urged him not to return but to continue forward. He asked, "Who are you?" He replied, "I am your old friend, the Brahmin Honey Heap, who died believing in the one supreme and was born as a god, residing at this south gate." After that, the householder was amazed and went to the Cool Grove, saw the Blessed One walking outside the monastery, inquired about his health, and the Blessed One said, "He who is not stained by desire, the Brahmin who is without outflows and completely liberated, the one who has completely passed into Nirvana, is always at ease." After that, he entered the room and sat on the seat. The householder also prostrated at the feet of the Buddha, sat on one side, and the Buddha taught him the Dharma. He immediately saw the truth and made a special statement, becoming a lay follower. There, he made a slight reply.
