When they looked around, they did not see the Bodhisattva, so they grabbed the neck of the horse king, uttering cries of lamentation and weeping. Because the sound of weeping was too shrill, that mantra holder suffocated and died, and was reborn into the lineage of a Brahmin who was proficient in six arts. Then, Indra transformed himself into the guise of an old hunter, and wore a crimson monastic robe that he had previously borrowed from the Self-Born Buddha to the Tree God, and sat by the roadside holding a bow and arrow in his hand. Then, the Bodhisattva, seeing that this precious robe was not suitable for an ordained person, but that the crimson monastic robe of Shana was suitable for ordination, requested an exchange. Indra in the form of a hunter prostrated at his feet and offered the crimson monastic robe. He took the Kashika garment and established a great offering in the abode of the Thirty-Three. He thought: May this crimson monastic robe that is not suitable for me become suitable for me! As a result, it became suitable for him. After that, he went in the guise of an ordained person to the hermitage of the son of the Evil-Abandoner. There, since twelve years prior, the flowers, fruits, and leaves of the palm trees and other trees had become of a golden nature. However, on that very morning, they turned into ordinary trees. The hermits there were perplexed by this. The Bodhisattva asked them the reason for their perplexity, and they replied: Because the golden trees have turned into ordinary trees. He said: The person by whose power the trees of the hermitage turned into gold, has ordained this morning. Now he no longer needs that, so that is how it is. If he had not ordained, then this grove would have become his pleasure garden. They observed the Bodhisattva for a long time, thinking: The person by whose power that happened is none other than him! So they asked him a question. He replied: It is indeed so. Then they invited him to a seat and offered him flowers and fruits. Twentieth: The Teaching on Seeking the Path Twentieth: The Teaching on Seeking the Path is: After staying there for a short while, He said: Here
