Knowing that they would kill many people if they fought each other, they went to each of the eight groups, including the giant of the grassland, and said: Listen, you wise ones! The Blessed One has been patient for a long time, and praises patience. It is not right to kill each other for his relics. I will divide the relics into eight parts. Therefore, give me the container in which the relics are kept. I will also build a stupa in the city and make offerings. After they had said this to each other, they all calmed down and agreed to the same idea. There, the Brahmin divided the relics equally into eight parts and gave them to each. The casket or vase containing the relics was taken by the Brahmin Brema Nyati. The ashes of the relics were taken by the Brahmin Nyagrodha, and they were all invited with great respect and offerings, and stupas were built in their respective countries. The first tooth is in the heaven of the Thirty-three, the second is in the country of Tsikdzinn, and the third is in Kalinga. The fourth tooth and one part of the relics were obtained by the Sounding City, and were stolen by the Nagas and are in the land of the Nagas. The other seven parts are in their respective countries. In this way, of the eight parts of the relics of the one with eyes, seven were obtained by the people of Jambudvipa for offering. One part of that supreme being was offered by the Naga King of the Sounding City. Of the four teeth of that supreme being, one is worshiped by the three realms. The second is in the beautiful city of Tsikdzinn, and the third is in the land of the Kalinga King. The fourth tooth of that supreme being is worshiped by the Naga King of the Sounding City. When King Ashoka lived in Kanakapura, he extensively expanded the seven stupas. Through his power, on this earth, it is also manifestly adorned with objects of aspiration. In this way, the relics of the one with eyes are greatly revered and offered by gods, Naga kings, human kings, and the lords of humans, Nagas, and Yakshas. The all-knowing, compassionate, and powerful one, born into the Shakya clan, attained enlightenment in Magadha, turned the wheel of Dharma in Kashi, and in the city

He passed away relying on Yer grass. Thus it is said. One hundred and twenty-first, the content of the first council. One hundred and twenty-first, the content of the first council is: At that time, the gods proclaimed thus: Together with the venerable Shariputra, eighty thousand Arhats passed away; together with the venerable Maudgalyayana, seventy thousand Arhats passed away; at the time when the Blessed One completely passed into nirvana, eighteen thousand Arhats, known as the most powerful, also passed away, the sacred Dharma became like smoke, and the monks did not even proclaim the sound of the three baskets. After that, the venerable Mahakashyapa rebuked the gods in this way: Gather the monks! At that time, the venerable Ganga was the disciplinarian, having entered and contemplated the highest realm of the fourth dhyana, he arose and struck the ghanta, gathering five hundred Arhats, lacking one. At that time, knowing that the venerable Gavampati had not gathered, Ganga went by means of miraculous power to the immeasurable palace of the Shirisha tree and said this to Gavampati: The Sangha of monks, such as Kashyapa, say this, may the venerable Gavampati be without illness, there is some business of the Sangha, please come quickly. After that, Gavampati said: Ganga, has the Teacher not gone to other worlds for the sake of taming those to be tamed? Is there no fighting and mutual fault-finding among the Sangha? And so on, at the end. Although it is so, if one speaks of the Sangha of monks such as the Buddha, why say Kashyapa and so on? The Teacher, abiding in great compassion, entering into all conduct, has he not passed away into the realm of nirvana without remainder? After asking such questions, Ganga said: Wise one, for the sake of the Dharma remaining, the Shravaka Sangha has gathered, they have gathered there, waiting for you and striving for it. And so on, saying that since the Tathagata has passed away, and monks are gathered for the sake of the Dharma remaining, you must go. He said: Ganga, enough, do not speak like that. If the Buddha were alive, I would of course go there, but what now? This supreme alms bowl, Dharma robe, and three sets, you give to the Sangha.
