May it transform. Saying, "May it transform." Doing so has two benefits: temporarily, one becomes skilled in the activities of teaching, debating, and writing; ultimately, one will obtain the speech of Manjushri, endowed with sixty branches of melodious sound. Third, in order to request the meaning of the mind empowerment, please repeat this: With wisdom, he does not abide in existence; with compassion, he does not abide in peace; he does not abide in nirvana and samsara; I pray to the mind of Manjushri. Say this three times. Then, both the master and the disciples adjust their posture: legs in the lotus position, hands in meditative equipoise, spine straight, eyes gazing into space. In the sky in front, visualize a single letter A (ཨ，Devanagari: अ，IAST: a，literal meaning: A) clearly, at the level of the eyebrows. Focus the mind on it single-pointedly, and recite "A A" twenty-one times. As the A disappears like a rainbow, in the emptiness free from all thoughts, the mind is placed in a state of clarity and openness, wherever it may rest. Then, place a flower on the student's crown and say: Om (ༀ，Devanagari: ओ，IAST: oṃ，literal meaning: Om), Ah (ཨཱཿ，Devanagari: आः，IAST: āḥ，literal meaning: Ah), Hum (ཧཱུཾ，Devanagari: हुं，IAST: hūṃ，literal meaning: Hum). And also say: May the blessings of the body, speech, and mind of the venerable Manjushri completely enter the minds of these Vajra disciples. Thinking thus, contemplate steadfastly. Thus, obtaining the mind empowerment has two benefits: temporarily, one develops faith in the Dharma; ultimately, one will obtain diamond-like wisdom that knows all phenomena as they are and as they appear. Fourth, in order to request the meaning of the empowerment of qualities and activities, please repeat this: From this time onwards, until I attain enlightenment in the future, may the Bhagavan Manjushri be my guru. Say this three times. Then, hand the "Nomenclature" to the student and say: This is the "Praise of the True Names of the Manjushri Tantra," which is concise in words and profound in meaning, and is the essence of all tantras. If one studies and contemplates this, and practices the meaning taught herein, one will quickly attain the state of the venerable Manjushri. Therefore, you should study and contemplate this, and put it into practice. Also, teach and explain it to others, and do whatever you can for the benefit of sentient beings. This is the granting of permission.

There are two benefits to doing this: First, temporarily, one can become proficient in the five sciences and accomplish vast benefit for sentient beings; Second, ultimately, one will attain a state equal to all the qualities and activities of Mañjuśrī. In this way, you have prayed to me with faith and aspiration. I, in turn, with a loving heart, to the best of my ability, have performed this അനുജ്ഞ（藏文，梵文天城体，anujñā，梵文罗马拟音，anujñā，字面意思：随许） of the venerable Mañjuśrī. In order to make it beneficial, I dedicate all the roots of virtue to the benefit of sentient beings. In order to make the work fruitful, please repeat the following: Whatever merit I have gained from accomplishing this, may all beings attain the wisdom of Mañjuśrī! Repeat three times. At this time, in order to keep all the vows and commitments that have been made as the Lama has said, please repeat the following: The main one... Repeat three times. The mandala for receiving the profound അനുജ്ഞ（藏文，梵文天城体，anujñā，梵文罗马拟音，anujñā，字面意思：随许）. From now on... Repeat three times. By this merit, may all attain omniscience. Recite prayers such as these, prostrate, and send the assembly away. Then, the teacher blesses the offerings that have been set up in front. As before, make offerings and praises to the objects of visualization in front and pray for the desired meaning. Recite the Vajrasattva Hundred Syllable Mantra three times, and pray for forgiveness for any incompleteness or deficiencies. I beseech all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas abiding in the ten directions to pay attention to me. As far as the end of space... etc., and stabilize the objects of visualization in front. Then, recite prayers of aspiration and auspiciousness.
