This is an instruction that is even more profound than the extremely profound. Any practitioner who has properly received the transmission of this should practice it diligently. Refuge and bodhicitta are in accordance with the common practice. Purify into emptiness with the mantra of (Tibetan: ༀ་ཤཱུ་ནྱ་ཏཱ，Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐशून्यता，Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ śūnyatā，Literal meaning: Om, emptiness). From within emptiness, from the sound of (Tibetan: ༀ་བཛྲ་པཱ་ཎི་ཧཱུཾ་ཕཊ，Sanskrit Devanagari: 嗡班匝巴尼吽啪特，Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ vajrapāṇi hūṃ phaṭ，Literal meaning: Om Vajra Pani Hum Phat), visualize yourself as Vajra Tummo, with a dark blue-black body, one face, two arms, three eyes, and bared fangs. The right hand holds aloft a yellow five-pronged vajra in the sky, and the left hand makes a threatening gesture, tormenting the obstructing forces. Standing in a left-extended posture on a multi-colored lotus and sun disc. Adorned with black snakes. Completely possessing the ornaments and attire of a wrathful deity. In the center of the heart, on the sun disc, is a blue (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ，Sanskrit Devanagari: 吽，Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ，Literal meaning: Hum) syllable, surrounded by the mantra. From these, flames blaze clockwise, filling the entire body. Sins and obscurations are burned away, merging with the external fire, blazing ever more fiercely, completely destroying all enemies and obstacles.
