Purify all defilements and obscurations. Transform yourself into the form of Tara, with a green body, one face, and two arms. The right hand is in the gesture of supreme generosity, and the left hand holds the root of a blue utpala (Sanskrit Devanagari: उत्पल, Sanskrit Romanization: utpala, Chinese literal meaning: blue utpala) flower, blooming directly by the ear. The right leg is extended, and the left leg is drawn in, sitting in a playful posture of half-lotus. Adorned with all ornaments of silk and jewels, seated upon a lotus and moon seat. In the heart, on a moon disc, resides TĀṂ (Tibetan: ཏཱཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ता, Sanskrit Romanization: tāṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Tām). From it, rays of light emanate. Invoke the noble and venerable Tara, the wisdom deity assembly, Vajrasamājaḥ! Perform offerings and prostrations in your mind, without uttering words. Jaḥ Hūṃ Baṃ Hoḥ! Dissolve into non-duality. White Oṃ (Tibetan: ༀ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Oṃ) at the crown of the head, red Āḥ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Āḥ) at the throat, blue Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) at the heart. Focus your mind single-pointedly on the deity's form and remain in meditative equipoise. The recitation is as follows: Visualize the ten-syllable mantra encircling the TĀṂ (Tibetan: ཏཱཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ता, Sanskrit Romanization: tāṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Tām), and recite: Oṃ Tāre Tuttāre Ture Svāhā! And visualize the mantra encircling. Namo Ratna Trayāya! Namo Ārya Avalokiteśvarāya! Bodhisattvāya! Mahāsattvāya! Mahākāruṇikāya! Tadyathā! Oṃ Tāre Tuttāre Sarva Duṣṭaṃ! Praduṣṭaṃ! Mama Kṛte! At the end of the session, visualize the wisdom being residing in front of you, and make offerings from Arghaṃ to Shapta. Pray for your wishes, and dedicate the merit. Recite Oṃ Muḥ, and request them to depart. Conduct yourself with the pride of your own samaya being. If reciting the Twenty-One Taras Praise, generate the samaya being as before, and with the light from your heart, invite the wisdom deity to come before you, and make prostrations and offerings. Place yourself and those to be protected under the refuge and bestowal of protection, and when reciting "Prostration," visualize prostrations in your mind. Recite any praises that you can. The rest is the same as before. The method for performing the recitation transmission here is: In front of a painted or sculpted image of Tara, arrange a maṇḍala and a collection of flowers. Arrange extensive offerings. Also arrange tormas for worldly protectors such as Dharma Protectors and Cha-sum, as appropriate. The blessing of the offerings can be done in accordance with the general blessing. Or, just visualize that the offerings arise from Oṃ (Tibetan: ༀ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Oṃ) in an instant, and recite the mantra of the offering cloud three times.
