Offering with a Khata. Regarding this, there is also a tradition of bestowing extensive empowerment rituals. Gyaton also performed an extensive blessing ritual, but those seem to have been mixed with elements from the Nyingma and other schools. The self-blessing here is: the seven-syllable mantra of Avalokiteśvara, the Mitra tradition, simply replacing it with aspiration is sufficient. Universally profound and highly praised, generating joy that produces great delight, the essence of the practice of the Lord of the World, clearly established, is wondrous. The secret practice of the Lord of the World in the tradition of Jetsun Mitra Jogi, called the section on practice methods. May prosperity increase. Section on the practice method of Avalokiteśvara, the King of Space. Om Swasti. (Tibetan: ༀ་སྭཱ་སྟི།) The basis of thousands of Chakravartin kings and emanations of a thousand Buddhas, renowned as the King of Space, I prostrate to Avalokiteśvara. Perform the seven-branch offering that arises from the "Bodhicaryāvatāra" three times. Refuge and bodhicitta are in accordance with the common ritual. Contemplate emptiness, recite Svabhava, and cultivate compassion. On a lotus and moon disc, from Hrih (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, literal Chinese meaning: seed syllable), transform oneself into the noble Avalokiteśvara, the King of Space, with a body color that is white with a reddish glow. The root three faces are white and peaceful, the three above them are yellow and smiling, the two above them are blue-black and wrathful, the two above them are reddish-brown and gnashing their teeth. All these faces have three eyes, and above all the faces is the face of Amitabha. Of the ten root hands of the Dharmakaya, the first two are joined in prayer, the remaining right hands hold a pearl rosary, a Dharma wheel, the Varada mudra, and a Buddha image. The left hands hold a lotus vase, a wish-fulfilling jewel, a bow and arrow. Of the thirty-eight branch hands, the right ones hold a jeweled hook, a begging bowl, a sword, a vajra, a swastika, crystal, fire crystal, a yellow bow, a tender shoot, a yak tail fan, a shield and a vase, an axe, a rosary, a blue lotus, a bell, and a white sun. The left ones hold a white cloud, a hair knot, a yellow lotus, a sword, a conch shell and a skull cup, a staff, a rosary, a bell, a vajra and an iron hook, a fan, an emanation body, a mansion, a scripture, a Dharma wheel, a snake form, winter wheat, a red lotus, and a jewel. The one thousand and two near-branch hands make the Varada mudra. All the palms have eyes. Feet

The two are erected together. A deerskin, draped over the shoulder, adorned with silk, jewels, and snakes, complete with all marks and signs. At the three places (throat, heart, crown), recite Om Ah Hum Om Ah Hum). May the Tathagatas bestow empowerment with the water from their vases. Contemplate benefiting beings in all Pure Lands of the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya. Clearly visualize the object of recitation, and recite the dharani of Nilakantha as much as possible. If it is difficult to remember, it is acceptable to recite it mostly in Tibetan. If even Tibetan is unfamiliar and not understood, it is acceptable to recite only the six-syllable mantra, as it is the main mantra of this practice. Recite Mani as much as possible. Finally, rest the mind in the state of severance from the root. In all session breaks, remain inseparable from the yoga of body, speech, and mind. If you wish to make offerings, first purify the body with bathing. In front of a painted or sculpted image, extensively arrange offerings and tormas, and perform purification. Bless them three times with the mantra and mudra of the Treasury of Space and the dharani of the Cloud of Offerings. Invite with "All sentient beings" and so forth. Make offerings with "Bhagavan, come with compassion" and so forth. Perform bathing and seating. Make offerings with "Offerings mostly" and so forth. Praise with "Without defilement" and so forth, and "Happiness in the three times" and so forth. In addition, read the Hundred Names Sutra and so forth as much as possible. Bless the torma with the mantra and mudra of the Treasury of Space. Om Ah Hum). Dedicate a small portion of the main essence, and give the remainder to all spirits with the Akarō mantra. Pray for the fulfillment of wishes. Consecrate the image with Ye Dharma. Dismiss the guests with "Ya Hi." The method for receiving disciples for this practice is as follows: First, perform the self-generation and front-generation as described above, then have the disciples bathe. Recite the seven-branch prayer as in the Samantabhadra's Prayer, and bestow refuge and bodhicitta as appropriate. Meditation and generosity alone are sufficient. The sadhana of this practice is also found in the King's Collection of Teachings, but nowadays the holders of that tradition and the practice of this practice appear to be slightly different. This miraculous and sacred Dharma cycle is known as the beginning of Tibetan Buddhism. Rejoice and be delighted in this, and if you practice it, you will accomplish the supreme meaning of the essence. The Sadhana of Avalokiteshvara, King of Space.
