Che! You who delight in flesh and blood, and possess a terrifying roar, I offer and praise you. Praise to the Great King Vaishravana and his retinue: In the sacred palace of jewels, upon the fearless lion throne, the protector born of beryl, who accumulates great merit through peaceful rest, resides in the lotus posture of a bodhisattva. In his right hand he holds a jewel-encrusted victory banner, and in his left he holds a treasure-emitting mongoose. His body is beautiful with the light of gold, and from his mouth falls a rain of jewels. With compassion, he liberates beings from poverty. He is adorned with all kinds of precious ornaments. He also emanates as the king of the northern direction, and his name is renowned as Vaishravana. Lord of treasures, I prostrate to you! He wears a jewel-encrusted crown upon his head, and I prostrate to the one who is perfect in qualities. Surrounded by a multitude of yakshas, lord of the great host, I prostrate to you! He destroys the armies of others, the mighty one, I prostrate to you!
