etc. 12-528 It can also be that afflictions decrease, and faith, compassion, wisdom, etc., increase greatly on their own. The intermediate appears as an illusory experience upon waking, and the lowest is when dreams appear clearly, such as taking a bath, flying in the sky, wearing white clothes, etc. When meditating on emptiness to cure illness, the best sign of the disease being cured is that the disease is actually cured. The intermediate experience and the lowest dream involve vomiting and diarrhea, and the discharge of pus and blood from the body. When meditating on emptiness to dispel evil spirits, the best sign of dispelling the harm of evil spirits is that the harm is actually eliminated, and the body and mind are happy and joyful, and a warm hope arises. The intermediate experience and the lowest dream involve destroying vicious creatures, oneself conquering enemies, and creatures emerging from the body, etc. Therefore, the three signs are the sign of purifying sins and obscurations, the sign of curing diseases, and the sign of dispelling evil spirits. Each of these three is further divided into three: the actual, the experience, and the dream. The divisions of the inner purification signs become nine. Therefore, one should not expect signs to appear at first. One must settle without calculation. When signs appear, one should not be attached, arrogant, or like or dislike them. This is merely the appearance of interdependent phenomena that have not ceased, and in reality, nothing has been accomplished, like an illusion. By abandoning hope and doubt and settling in this way, obstacles will not arise later, and one will be able to go on the right path. If actual signs appear, that is sufficient. The experience during waking appears as a clear vision. A single appearance is enough to be considered a sign. Dreams alone cannot be certain, so if they are very clear, appear many times, and cause a great change in the mind's clarity after waking, then they are considered signs. The detailed classification of signs is clear in old texts. 12-529 Although there is no specific time for practice here, the way in which signs appear as the path itself is the practice, so it is the fifth practice guide. Main practice. Second, the main practice is divided into six: tummo, illusory body, dream, clear light, transference of consciousness, and bardo. Tummo, the path of skillful means, bliss-warmth self-ignites. These are also described with their great functions, the path of skillful means, bliss-warmth self-ignites.

Illusory body, self-liberated from attachment and aversion; dream state, self-purified from delusion; clear light, self-awakened from ignorance. Without practicing transference of consciousness, one becomes a Buddha; the bardo is the Sambhogakaya of the Victorious Ones. Therefore, first, regarding the path of skillful means, the bliss-heat that blazes on its own, there are the preliminary practices, the main practice, and the subsequent practices of Tummo itself. The Preliminary Practices: The Preliminary Practices of Tummo Itself First, although it is generally the main practice of the instructions, it becomes a preliminary practice in relation to the main practice of Tummo itself. Therefore, it is called the 'space of the essential points of the preliminary practice body.' Because the heat is extremely rapid, it is also called the 'visualization of Tummo's blazing fire.' For this, one should also first generate refuge and bodhicitta. Therefore, one needs an initial preliminary practice, the Guru Yoga. One can visualize oneself as the deity's form, or for a while, even with the pride of an ordinary person. On the crown of the head, visualize the complete four-tiered seat. However, in this context of Tummo, do not create various lotuses; visualize a white lotus. The Guru residing there, even if visualized as the actual form, visualize the body color as white, radiating white light. Even if visualized as Vajradhara, visualize the body color as white like the autumn moon. In all instances of the Six Dharmas, it is said that visualizing the Guru as the actual form is most important, and practice is established accordingly. Generally, do you incline towards the form of the actual body, or do you incline towards the form of Vajradhara? Whichever you incline towards, visualize that one with the experience of bodily bliss increasing, with a smiling face, as if bestowing blessings upon oneself. Visualize the Guru Rinpoche, the embodiment of all Buddhas of the three times, and for the benefit of all sentient beings, please cause a special samadhi of bliss-heat to arise in my body, please cause a special samadhi of bliss-emptiness to arise in my mind. Pray intensely in this way. Finally, the Guru dissolves into the essence of nectar, entering from the crown of one's head and dissolving. One's ordinary, karmic body, speech, and mind become clear and empty like a rainbow dissolving into the sky. Becoming the body, speech, and mind of the wisdom deity, one becomes the Bhagavati Vajravarahi, the body color red, the right hand slightly threatening with a vajra pointing downwards, the left hand holding a skull cup of blood at the heart, naked, adorned with the five bone ornaments and the five dry skull crowns, wearing a garland of fifty fresh human heads, seated on a lotus, sun disc, and human corpse with the head facing to the right.
