Great bliss arises spontaneously. Again, in such a state, cultivate the root deity and so on, repeatedly as before. Having cultivated in this way, at night during dreams, the practice of visualizing deities in various numbers will arise. Then it will become more and more. Eventually, in dreams, deities fill the sky, not obscuring each other. All of these are without attachment to bliss, clear without conceptualization, appearing without inherent existence, appearing with the three characteristics. At that time, the virtuous practice of self-purification of dream delusions enters the right path. That which is called illusion (sgyu ma) is: the power of cultivating the thought of non-reality in waking and dreaming states, without any clinging, one experiences objects without high or low, equally. To be free from grasping at illusion means: having a thought that "all of this is just a deluded appearance, there is nothing to grasp at," which also vanishes into the expanse, and thus one is free from grasping at affirmation and negation. At that time, without thinking of anything, the taste of experience arises blissfully, that is luminosity. That is called Mahamudra, because it is the nature of the mind. Again, in that state, the deity arises as clear emptiness, that is also called Mahamudra. Without attachment to bliss means: when the deity arises spontaneously in a dream, both body and mind experience a light bliss, but there is no arrogance or pride, and there is no craving for that bliss, so there is no joy or displeasure whether bliss arises or not. Clear without conceptualization means: although the form of the deity appears very clearly, it is self-arisen, without the effort of conceptual thought. Appearing without inherent existence means: the general statement that appearance is empty of truth also applies here, but here it means that the appearances of body, speech, and mind, and form, sound, smell, taste, and touch arise simultaneously, and apart from appearing equally in the face of the sole self-clarity in awareness, one experiences that there is no different entity in each appearance. This is the thirty-eighth practice. In these stages of dreaming, the instruction of cutting off extremes (‘byams gcod) is also important, since the extensive cutting off extremes is explained separately, it is not explained in the context of the instructions, and what is known as the "Cutting Off Extremes Essential Oral Instructions" is explained elsewhere.

Year. Establishing the Manifestation of Dream Realms. Sixth, in establishing the realm manifestations, the superior faculties have unconditioned clear knowing, the intermediate have whatever is thought of clearly seen, the inferior have mind-body flying in the sky, and the least have object-oriented realm manifestations; these are four types. First, unconditioned clear knowing is when, during practice, although there is no effort, all hidden meanings are seen at all times, both during the day when awake and at night during dreams. The intermediate, whatever is thought of clearly seen, is when whatever intention is set during the day is seen effortlessly and naturally arising at night. The inferior, mind-body flying in the sky, is when, like other preliminaries, one prays with the ending, "Please accomplish the establishment of realm manifestations." The actual object of focus is: "Tonight, I will see such a Buddha-field, or I will see such a hidden thing." One makes a strong intention like this. Then, thinking it is a real dream, one visualizes oneself as the clear form of the yidam, or one can transform the body 12-572 into another form. By flying swiftly in the sky, one thinks of going to that place and seeing all the things one needs to see. In this way, it will also occur in dreams at night. Here, "mind-body flying in the sky" means that flying in the sky is just the meaning of flying in the sky, but some explain it as transforming into a garuda and going. Thirty-ninth object of focus. Fourth, the instructions for the object-oriented realm manifestation of the least are three: the selflessness-mother realm manifestation clarification, the A realm manifestation clarification, and the bindu realm manifestation clarification. The first is: the preliminary is the same as before. Below one's navel, there is a skull-cup of the nature of light, white on the outside and red on the inside. Inside it are Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ (藏文:ༀ་ཨ་ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:ओम् आः हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡啊吽), blue in color, radiating various rays of light. From that, rays of light radiate, filling the dharma-source and one's own body. They radiate from the pores of the skin. The outer container-world is visualized as a palace, and the inner content-beings are visualized as yidams. From the tips of the rays of light, countless offerings are emanated. One visualizes offering to all the yidam deities, both those who have been present from the beginning and those who have newly arrived. Whatever appears as form is the deity's body, whatever sound is heard is mantra, and all thoughts are remembered as illusion and dream. Again, the rays of light converge and dissolve into the syllables of the mantra at the navel. That itself is the venerable one.
