From the Haṃ (藏文:ཧཾ,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable Haṃ) at the crown of the head, a white drop, the size of a pea, descends completely. It arrives at the heart. Purify the affliction of ignorance. Visualize that the upper body above the heart is also severed, or that it departs in a blissful manner. From the Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हूं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable Hūṃ) at the secret place, a red drop, the size of a mung bean, rises up and arrives at the heart. Purify the affliction of desire. Visualize that the lower body below the waist is also severed, or that it departs in a blissful manner. The two drops, white and red, gather at the heart. Anger is naturally purified. Visualize that the heart feels blissful and cool, and that it has been severed. Then, within the central channel, in the emptiness at the heart, focus on the two drops revolving in a chasing manner. The manner of revolving, clockwise or counterclockwise, whichever is comfortable for your mind. Focus on that, and generate three or four thoughts of "This is a dream." Then, the two drops, in a manner of one chasing the other, exist touching slightly, but still focus on the revolving. Intensely cultivate the thought, "This is a dream." After that, again as before. Relying on the touching, believe that the body and mind become blissfully relaxed. To that also, cultivate the thought of illusion. Then, white dissolves into red, or red dissolves into white, or it can be the reverse, in any case, one dissolves into the other. Visualize that this also disappears without a trace. In that state, without thinking anything, rest for a while. Then, again focus on all appearances of self and others, thinking, "All these appearances are appearances, but they are not real." In particular, intensely cultivate the thought, "I am asleep, all these appearances are a dream." In this way, one session of meditation is completed. Again, repeatedly meditate on clarifying the central channel, etc. During breaks between sessions, also replace the thought of illusion with the thought of dream, 12-556 Then, combine three thoughts: impermanence, devotion, and the thought of dream. These three thoughts. Because the thought of dream is the key, in all activities such as walking, standing, sleeping, sitting, eating, speaking, in short, in all conduct, think, "I am asleep, I am dreaming, this is really a dream." If this thought arises continuously, then it is effortless to catch the dream, so this is very important. By meditating in this way, you will quickly catch the dream. Also, for some with weak karmic connections, continuously during the day

Even if you practice, you won't attain it immediately. Even if it's delayed, hope to attain it within a month or one and a half months. Don't calculate doubts about whether you'll attain it or not, just transform it as you wish. It's important to strongly generate intention. Generally, the previous Six Yogas of Naropa practitioners, for those with excellent faculties, it is said that some attained it in a year. If you meditate for about a year, you will gain stability in dream attainment. That's what they think. According to the rules of this Dharma, in a secluded place, not affected by shadows, not mixed with idle talk, meditate with renunciation and sorrow, within seven or ten days you will start to get some hope of attainment. Then, without being scattered or lazy, meditate with joy, within three or four months you will attain the dream and gain stability. In general, even without meditating, you may occasionally attain a dream, but such attainment is just accidental and there is nothing to rely on. Also, there are those who attain it naturally as soon as they start meditating, which is said to be attainment due to new circumstances, but it won't come again. Such attainment doesn't count and cannot be sustained. Here, you need to attain it with the power of focus and with the power of intention. If you attain it like that, if you don't stop practicing after this one attainment, it will develop upwards, 12-557 and you will attain it sequentially without any difficulty. The nineteenth focus section. The second is relying on the nine unerring essentials. This is a supplementary method to the previous focus. In general, the key points of self-realization, bindu, and the four empowerments are very profound. Relying on that, you should be able to attain the dream, but it is also possible that you may or may not attain it. These supplementary methods are not very necessary. What if? If you have diligently meditated on the previous focus for several months without attaining it, then gradually perform these supplementary methods. That is called the nine unerring essentials. There are three essentials of time: dawn, daybreak, and sunrise. There are three essentials of the body: the lotus posture, squatting, and the lion posture. There are three essentials of focus: holding non-conceptuality and transforming conceptual thoughts into the path. Like this, there are nine. In this case, it is the three essentials of focus. The first of these is holding non-conceptuality, expanding the essential of focus: visualize the Uma (Tibetan: དབུ་མ།) containing the two letters as clearly as before, then eliminate impure air and draw the upper air inward.
