From ལས་ (Tibetan, la sa, lasa, meaning "action" or "karma") arises the blue Vajra Tara. All of these have one face and four arms. The first right hand grants supreme blessings, and the second holds a Damaru drum. The first left hand holds an Utpala flower that matches its own body color, and the second holds a trident. Other characteristics are the same as the main deity. In the east gate, from ཛཿ (Tibetan, dza, dza, meaning "hooking") arises the white Iron Hook Tara, holding an iron hook. In the south gate, from ཧཱུཾ་ (Tibetan, hūṃ, hūṃ, seed syllable) arises the yellow Lasso Tara, holding a lasso. In the west gate, from བཾ་ (Tibetan, baṃ, vam, seed syllable) arises the red Iron Chain Tara, holding an iron chain. In the north gate, from ཧོཿ (Tibetan, hoḥ, hoḥ, exclamation) arises the green Bell Tara, holding a bell. All of these have a wrathful appearance, being stout and short. The left hand makes a threatening gesture at the heart. Adorned with tiger skin, a garland of heads, and snakes, in the midst of blazing flames, they abide on a corpse seat with the left leg extended. Now, the messenger goddesses should be generated. From the hearts of the four action Taras, two are generated on the right and two on the left, residing on the right and left sides of the four directions of the central action mandala. Recite ༀ་ཏཱ་རེ་ཏུཏྟཱ་རེ་ཏུ་རེ་སྥ་ར་ཎ་ཧཱུཾ་ཕཊ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओṃ tāre tuttāre ture spharaṇa hūṃ phaṭ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: oṃ tāre tuttāre ture spharaṇa hūṃ phaṭ, literal Chinese meaning: Om Tare Tuttare Ture Spharana Hum Phat) eight times. མཾ་ཧཱ་ལཾ་ཁ་ཧྲཱིཿཛ་ཕཊ་ཕཊ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: maṃ hālaṃ kha hrīḥ ja phaṭ phaṭ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: maṃ hālaṃ kha hrīḥ ja phaṭ phaṭ, literal Chinese meaning: Mam Halam Kha Hrih Ja Phat Phat). On the right side of the east is the Bewildering Mother, riding a sheep, holding a trident and a snake. On the left is the one who destroys all poisons, riding a Garuda, holding a vase. Both are white in color, slightly wrathful. On the right side of the north is the Stiffening Mother, yellow, riding a turtle, holding an iron chain. On the left is the Subduing Mother, yellow in complexion, riding Mount Meru, holding Mount Meru. Both are powerful and have the appearance of fools. On the right side of the west is the Hooking Mother, riding a হরিণ (Sanskrit, hariṇa, hariṇa, deer), drawing and running with a hook and lasso to subdue the object. On the left is the Pegging Mother, holding a peg, riding the violently shaking wind. Both are red and have a passionate demeanor. On the right side of the south is the Expelling Mother, holding a staff, riding a camel. On the left is the Separating Mother, holding a knife and an iron chain, seated on a cushion of crows and owls. Both are smoky and extremely wrathful. Also, there is the visualization of the Separating Mother holding a churning stick, residing on a buffalo and a horse. Then, generate the hand-seal deities. From the heart of the main deity, ཧཱུཾ་ (Tibetan, hūṃ, hūṃ, seed syllable) is generated, residing in the four corners of the inner mandala. In the southeast is Yama, the Lord of Death, black, with six faces, six arms, and six legs. The right hands hold hammers, and the left hands hold lassos.
