After that, pray to the mandala: The abode of all Thus-Gone Ones, the excellent city of Heruka, in this mandala of essence, I will introduce the disciple. Three times. Visualize the deities granting permission. JAḤ HŪṂ VAṂ HOḤ. At this time, although the order is explained clearly, the joining of palms is said to be slightly different from usual, but it should be the same as usual, and joined successively at the heart, crown of the head, throat, forehead, etc. After that, proclaim the vows: Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, take refuge in the Three Jewels. This is the Buddha lineage, pleasing to the mind. The vows become firm. Vajra, bell, and mudra also, you of great intelligence should hold. The mind of enlightenment is the vajra, wisdom is proclaimed as the bell. The teacher, you should hold. The lama is the same as all Buddhas. This is the pure vajra lineage, the vows of samaya are thus proclaimed. For the Ratna lineage, always, even daily six times, give the four kinds of giving: Dharma, material things, fearlessness, and love.

Grant. The three vehicles of outer, inner, and secret, All the sacred Dharma is upheld, This is the pure lineage of the Lotus family, The vows are pleasing. In the supreme great family of action, With all vows complete, I shall uphold them perfectly, And perform offering activities to the best of my ability. Then, regarding upholding the vows: As the Lord has commanded, So shall I strive to act. Three times. In one's own heart, on top of the moon disc, Resides a five-pronged vajra. Holding the five-pronged vajra adorned with flower garlands in the heart, recite: Om Sarva Yoga Citta Utpadaya Mi. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Meaning: Generate the mind of all yogas) Generate the mind. Place the vajra in the heart. Recite: Om Surate Samaya Stam Hoh Siddhi. Then, establishing the commitment: Today, you have entered the lineage of all heroes and yoginis. I shall generate the wisdom of glorious Heruka for you, By which wisdom you will also attain the siddhi of all the Tathagatas, And all the heroes and yoginis. What need is there to mention other siddhis? You must not speak in front of those who have not seen the mandala, Lest the vows be broken. And: "Glorious Heruka, today you Have truly entered the heart. If this manner is spoken, Then immediately split apart and depart." And: Drinking the oath water: "This is your hell water, If the vow is broken, it will burn. If the vow is kept, Accomplishment will be attained through this vajra nectar water." Om Pancha Amrita Udaka Tha Tha Tha Hum. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Meaning: Om Five Amrita Water Tha Tha Tha Hum) And: "From now on, I am your glorious Heruka.
