It is said that the Acharya Shantipa did not explain this, but it was inserted by the scribe. The Black One (Kṛṣṇapāda) is the actual word of the Mahāmāyā Tantra. Moreover, because it is considered to be a summary of the tantra, a detailed explanation was made. Some other teachers consider it to be an introduction, while some teachers do not consider these two verses to be an introduction or a summary, but rather a praise, and then promise to explain Vajra Dakini and so on. The Tathagatas themselves do not need to make praises and promises to explain for their own sake, but so that later others will do so when composing treatises, or that there will be no obstacles when explaining the tantra, that a great accumulation of merit will be accomplished, and that the explanation will be completed, it is thought that the Teacher himself said it. However, this is a bit inappropriate, because there is no such presentation in any other tantra, and many of the most pure texts do not contain these two verses, and some great chariots have not explained them either, so it is reasonable as the lamas have said. Furthermore, the former lamas said: Although the words of Jowo Naropa are not the actual words of the tantra, the teacher Kukkuripa, when writing the words of the tantra, first wrote them in order to beautify the text. In this regard, because this appears in the Vinaya Pitaka and so on, it is generally the actual word of the Vajra. However, whether or not it is the actual word of the Mahāmāyā Tantra seems to be a matter for investigation. But it is not an introduction or a summary of the tantra, because the meaning of the words themselves is clear. Nor is it a praise, because it is not found in any other Mahayana sutras and tantras. Some Vinaya Pitakas of the Shravaka school have it, but it does not come from the Auspicious Song, but is the words of the compiler himself. For the words of the Anuttara Tantra, all the tantric words such as the introduction and the connection are spoken by the Teacher himself. Enough of elaboration. Moreover, the first verse is a salutation to the transcendent mandala, and the latter verse is to the yoginis of the field.
