It is said in the middle. Here, the body of wind and mind is combined into one, so it is seven. The so-called wind should not be understood as having a substantial self-nature. The seventh is: Because all dualistic appearances are completely reversed, it is non-dual; the flow of mind and mental factors is cut off, because unreal thoughts cease, it is non-conceptual; abiding in the suchness of the nature of all phenomena; because there is no dualistic appearance, it appears as pure and vast; accomplishing the benefit of going in all places, at all times, and in all ways; because it never wavers from that position. The wisdom of Vajrasattva is union. Thus, there are six limbs of union. The so-called non-appearance means seeing that all appearances are without self-nature; it is also explained that universal appearance is the self-appearing pure mandala. Thus, these forty limbs are extensively explained in the Vajra Garland Tantra, saying that it is a collection of the meaning of the oral instructions, quoting more than sixty verses of that tantra, but they were not remembered. These are also all completely fulfilled in the wisdom of the Buddha of fruition, therefore the nature of wisdom is one, and it should not be understood as different. Third, explaining the detailed distinctions. Regarding those seven and the various branches, or what is the basis of each and every one, how to obtain it from the perspective of worldly dharma, how to obtain it from the perspective of the transcendental proximate cause, how the wise mantra practitioners appear in the generation stage and the completion stage, which three bodies are included, and how they correspond to this from those aspects, should also be explained. What is the nature of the seven limbs, what should be abandoned as obstacles to attainment, the companions of the path in practice and their opposites, the distinction between the excellent, that is, without fault and with fault, the distinction between contaminated and uncontaminated, the distinction between continuous cessation and permanence, that is, unstable and stable, and the contaminated and uncontaminated included by the word "etc.", the wisdom of body and mind, calm abiding and insight, self-appearance and other-appearance, the six perfections and the three trainings, etc., with immeasurable detailed distinctions, eliminate doubts about those seven suchnesses.

It is like that. Regarding the explanation as five meanings, this is understood through considering the before and after. In the first of the pair, self-nature has already been explained in the context of the general meaning. The things to be abandoned that hinder the realization of it are: if combined with the order of the words of the scriptures such as deep, vast, and pervasive, it is attachment to truth, attachment to emptiness, attachment to self and other, mistaking for change, arrogance arising in the ordinary, the manifestation of duality, and mistaking the mind for suffering. Each of these has eighty kinds of self-nature with the retinue of conceptual thoughts, and has three kinds of appearances with defilements, and has the distinction of what is abandoned by seeing and what is abandoned by meditation. These need to be determined in other aspects. Friends are the previously mentioned conditions. Opposition is the immediately mentioned things to be abandoned. Excellent is the name of becoming the peak of goodness, that is, when the uncontaminated mind stream manifests, its seven dharmas are also uncontaminated, so this is what the noble ones have, while ordinary people have faults. Similarly, there are also contaminated and uncontaminated, which is in terms of the gross afflictive obscurations. In general, having defects and not having defects, it is better to establish them on learners and non-learners. Regarding stability and instability, ordinary people have interruption and continuation, but in the noble path, there is originally no interruption. However, in the impure seven grounds, there are differences between equipoise and subsequent attainment, so it is unstable, and in the pure three grounds, there are still differences of change, so it is called impermanent. From the Buddha onwards, there is no change in self-nature and state, so it is called permanent. For this detailed and subtle distinction, even just talking about it, without oral instructions, it is impossible for those who think they are wise and speak arrogant words to have it, let alone experience it? Sixth, explaining the scattered categories. As it is said: Complete enjoyment and union great bliss are without self-nature, great compassion is all-pervasive, continuous, and without cessation or extinction. For these seven branches, it is explained as seven self-natures, and the seven self-natures of skillful means and wisdom that will appear below, and emptiness, great compassion, and great bliss are inseparable, which is the empowerment of ultimate truth.
