to meditate in harmony. The essence of the completion stage is the uncommon wisdom arising from the dissolution of wind and mind in the central channel, along with its causes and results. Secondly, some previous lamas named the objects to be purified by Nagarjuna and his son as follows: the generation stage is birth, the completion stage is death, and these two stages are considered as the path of purification. Mind is explained as the result, the generation stage is the common accomplishment, and the completion stage is the supreme accomplishment, and these two stages are considered as the method of accomplishment. Although it is said so, it is only considered from a similar point of view, which is not related to the meaning of the words, and it is difficult to determine the meaning of these two. According to our own system, the Sanskrit word for the generation stage is "Utpatti," which means artificial, so it means arising from conceptualization and fabricated by conceptualization, that is, the stage of observation and the yoga of fabrication. The Sanskrit word for the completion stage is "Nispanna," which means completely accomplished or real, so it means completely accomplished or real in reality, or existing in nature, that is, not newly generated, but meditating on a dharma that has been completely accomplished from the beginning. The stage is the stage of the path. The completion stage is also called the stage of non-observation and the yoga of reality. Thirdly, as it is said, "By the distinction of common and supreme, recitation is divided into two." As it is said, two stages are taught in relation to the temporary and ultimate fruit attainments. Since one does not seek the supreme meaning for the time being, the completion stage is not necessary, so the generation stage, which easily realizes the common, is taught. If one wants to attain the supreme immediately, the completion stage is also necessary, so two stages are taught. From the point of view of what is to be abandoned, it is also based on the main meaning, immediately preventing the suffering of the results of ordinary conceptualization is the generation stage, and immediately abandoning the seeds is the completion stage. From the point of view of the essence, because it is the support and the supported, the fruit support enjoyment body, the support great bliss dharmakaya, the two are related and exist. Although sentient beings have only the proximate cause of these two, they cannot be accomplished without practicing the means, just as there are seeds but no crops will grow if they are not planted in the field. The path of the dharmakaya is the completion stage, but

To accomplish both the Rupakaya and Dharmakaya, the generation stage is absolutely necessary. Without the generation stage, the Dharmakaya of the completion stage will not arise, and if that does not arise, the Rupakaya will not be accomplished. On the path, the generation stage is the yoga of the body, and the completion stage is the yoga of the mind. After the completion stage of the result is accomplished, it is the body of wind-mind and the yoga of clear light-mind. At the base stage, the six sense bases are the body, and bliss appears in the mind. What bliss is there from the non-existence of the body? Bliss cannot be spoken of. The meaning of what was said is that if there is no body at that time, bliss will not arise in the mind. Bliss and mental bliss are seen in connection with the body. The absence of the body is like the four formless realms and the Arhat who passes into Nirvana without remainder. The previous lamas said that the completion stage is the means of accomplishing the Dharmakaya, and the generation stage is the means of accomplishing the Rupakaya. Although later scholars opposed this, the key is as mentioned above, so the meaning is very good. Fourth, the previous lamas believed that Nagarjuna and his sons first stabilized the generation stage and then practiced the completion stage. The Mind Commentary school believed that whether it was stable or not, one should practice the completion stage after twelve years of practice. The self-school believed that the generation stage should be practiced in the morning and the completion stage in the afternoon. Some people believed that the two stages should be practiced by mutually enhancing each other, saying that this was not good. The view of the Mind Commentary school is not like this. The other three views are acceptable in any case. However, later Tibetans satirized all the views of the previous lamas, believing that only the Indians and Lotsawas, etc., who advocated first stabilizing the generation stage and then practicing the completion stage, were the meaning of the tantras. Marpa, Drokmi, and their followers believed that the generation stage should be practiced in the morning and the completion stage in the afternoon. Although it is not the meaning of the tantras, because it is mixed with the generation stage, the object of refutation for transgressing the stages appears to be small. They also said that if one practices the completion stage without stabilizing the generation stage, the various realizations of the completion stage will waste time, and if one practices in order, the realizations that are complete with characteristics will arise immediately. In general, people with sharp faculties first
