Meaning: An individual is neither earth nor water, neither fire nor wind nor space, neither consciousness nor everything. Other than that, what individual is there? As stated in the Ratnavali, it is also said in the Engaging in Bodhisattva Deeds: Why did the Able One say that I am earth, water, fire, etc.? Therefore, it cannot become the basis of the result, so it is the subtle self. If you think it is the same as the heretics, but they also explain emptiness, how can it be the same? Therefore, the six elements are mind. The eighteen realms, etc., are all equal in the clarity and emptiness of the essence. The part of equality is the subtle self of the continuum. This is devoid of the characteristics of elaboration. If this is directly realized, then realizing the mind will become the supreme antidote to the view of self. Third, in general, entering through the use of reason has also been spoken by the Victorious Ones, and many great chariots have also explained it. However, in this Vajrayana, even the great chariot masters and accomplished ones do not mainly focus on the emptiness of analysis. It seems that they only enter through the method of non-conceptualization, as has already been explained in the context of settling and meditating. The emptiness of that wisdom's object is not only characterized by negation. As it says in the Prophecy of Intentions: The realization that the wise ones of the three times have not made, the example of space is without comparison. This alone is the ultimate truth, the characteristic of individual self-awareness. That is, the nature of mind is naturally luminous, and the meaning of luminosity is not only empty of defilements, but is self-aware. If so, the Bhagavan has shown the example of mind as space, saying: Because one sees space, beings speak. How does one see space? One should examine this meaning. Thus, seeing the Dharma is also taught by the Thus-Gone One. Is that not saying an example of negation? Answer: Although it may be said so, the extent to which space is used as an example is not only an example of negation. For example, the hole is called space. The object of eye consciousness, the clear and transparent appearance in space, and only the openness of form, without the increase or decrease of the formation, duration, destruction, and emptiness of kalpas, etc., is the space of the Dharma realm. These two are commonly accepted as established, and are examples of the clarity and awareness of the mind, and the arising of all appearances, and the obstruction of water in a vase.
