Since you also agree that coarse appearances cease, how can you engage in analytical investigation of distinctness? Since neither "one" nor "many" exist in truth, you must contemplate "no truth," etc. If, in the state of an ordinary being, dualistic appearances cease due to non-conceptualization, then even the mere determination of "one" and "many" is not allowed. How, then, can you recall the ascertainment based on that reason? Merely focusing on bliss does not suffice as a means to unite bliss and emptiness, and there is no reason to generate faults. If it did generate faults, then all desirable objects not grasped by view are said to be the cause of bondage. Therefore, your eating and wearing food and clothing without combining them with view, and looking at forms, etc., are great faults. So, strive only for the means to be born in the formless realm. Merely focusing on bliss does not suffice as a means to unite bliss and emptiness, and since the mind is not focused and there is no bliss, yet this is said to be a means to unite bliss and emptiness. Alas! You are truly outstanding in your expertise with discerning wisdom! One should also laugh like that. Since there is no attachment, faults do not arise. It is sufficient not to be attached to objects; abandoning objects is difficult and unnecessary. Although we do not have the certainty that we can unite bliss and emptiness merely by focusing the mind, if we focus on the state of non-elaboration and inexpressibility, that itself is the supreme view, because it accords very well with the non-elaboration of objects. Meditation through analysis is not like that, because the object is not elaborated at all, while the subject focuses on as many objects as there are, such as existence and non-existence, and even in each moment, hundreds of answers arise. Although the object is not elaborated at all, the subject grasps any elaboration. If the view of analysis is not familiar, even if one remembers it, attachment may not cease. It is like having faith that food is empty in nature, but still feeling reluctant to give it up when eating it. Explanation of the Appearance Aspect Secondly, the explanation of the appearance aspect, divided into the nature of the appearance aspect, its divisions, and the specific explanation of the illusory body. The first is the deity body of the completion stage, along with its retinue. The second, 9-349 for the yogi of the completion stage, is the deity body in which clear appearances arise without conceptual thought, through the power of the mind dissolving, the blessing of ordinary bliss, and the power of meditating on the deity. The self-blessing of the illusory body is merely wind and mind.

It is the body of actual accomplishment. The yoga of signs is the three distinctions of the appearance of signs such as smoke. The third is the state of samsara, the basis for the practice of the illusory body, the cause of attainment, and the nature of the illusory body with examples. The first is: Here, there is no birth whatsoever, and there is no destruction itself. The nature of the mind abides in this way. Know that this is samsara itself. As it is said in the scriptures: All arising and ceasing of existence, such as birth and death, arise from the mind. And: The four elements, such as earth, and likewise the four emptinesses, are the cause of arising and ceasing. These eight entities should be clearly understood. Above the clear light is the great emptiness. From that, skillful means truly arise. From that, wisdom is born. From that, wind arises. From wind, fire truly arises. From fire, water universally arises. From water, earth is born. Such is the birth of sentient beings. And it is said: Earth dissolves into the water element, and so on. The three realms cease in this way. The four appearances of the mind and the four elements of the body, these eight are the cause of the revolving and reversing of samsara. When a coarse-bodied being dies, the elements dissolve in a coarse-to-subtle sequence, so the three appearances also dissolve sequentially into clear light. When arising, too, attainment, increase, appearance, arising from the four elements such as wind, the gross appearance arises, as it is said. Death arises from clear light, and immediately the bardo body is accomplished. If the nature of the subtle and coarse realms is explained here, it is explained in terms of the body, the mind, and both. 9-350 The first is: Flesh, bones, blood, etc., are the coarse body. Abiding is the channels. Moving is the wind. Arranging is the subtle bodhicitta. The fifth wind-ray is extremely subtle. The second is: The five sense consciousnesses are coarse. Mental thought and the eighty natures, etc., are subtle. The four appearances are extremely subtle. The third is: The twenty-five natures are the five aggregates such as form, the five elements such as earth, the five senses such as the eye, the five objects such as form, and the five mirror-like primordial wisdoms of the base, such as a mirror. These twenty-five are coarse. The wind that rides on nature is subtle. The four appearances that are ridden by wind are extremely subtle. Among them, the mirror-like wisdom is the clarity of the mind, and the wisdom of equality is feeling.
