Correct. "By the excellent distinctions of other places," it is said that previously it was explained as abiding from a collection of similar kinds or as the ten bhumis, but again, although the meaning is the same, the way of explaining is different. Places and nearby places each have four categories, and the others each have two, totaling twenty-four. This is what the earlier Tibetans explained, and some Indians also did. However, having previously spoken of outer and inner two, here, in order to connect with the wheels of body, speech, and mind, etc., from the excellent distinctions combined with that very nature, there is no doubt that combining with deities and combining with great bliss will become two. In other tantra kings, the classification of outer, inner, and other three is made, and the meaning is the same. The term "other" must be explained as the meaning of excellent, so the outer and inner two are conventional truth, while this (other) has more of the component of ultimate truth, so it is considered excellent. These will show that, among the thirty-two channels, the twenty-four channels outside are dakinis, above ground and below ground, that is, the three places and the twenty-four realms, the other mandala wheels are the three wheels of body, speech, and mind, and the twenty-four internal divisions are related to the purity of the ten bhumis to be traversed on the path. Fourth is: the ten channels such as places, the distinctions of twenty-four are: by the nature of how they abide, they are distinguished as abiding in co-emergence. On the bhumis such as joy, these are also correctly explained. By the nature of faculties etc., are the places of Bodhisattvas. By the distinctions of aggregates etc., Buddhas are the places of all. For Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Buddhas descend excellently. By the thirty-two Bodhisattvas, when what becomes what here, then the Buddha with his sons, the Buddha himself becomes close. Distinguishing abiding in co-emergence. Here, in the Indian Sanskrit version, "bhriyanti sahajah sthitah" appears, therefore, "sthitah" is the Sanskrit word for "abiding," so the words "distinguishing" appearing in many Tibetan versions are textual errors. The secret sequence of these treatises is extensively explained, that is the fact. Here, it is not explained in the sequence of the sixteen joys, but from the perspective of the ten bhumis. That is, the ten bhumis such as places, those internal divisions are divided into twenty-four on the ground.

How do the natures of the grounds abide? Although there is no difference from co-emergent wisdom, the difference in the extent of absorption of the channels and elements, and the magnitude of the power of meditative wisdom and the extent of subsequent qualities, the abiding grounds are divided into ten grounds and twenty-four grounds, etc. It should be understood that these channels, which are summarized by ten categories such as abiding, are the grounds such as the very joyful one. Among them, abiding is the very joyful one, which is the first ground; near abiding is the stainless one, which is the second ground; the field is the illuminating one, which is the third ground; the near field is the radiating one, which is the fourth ground; desire and thought are the difficult to tame one, which is the fifth ground; near desire and thought are the manifest one, which is the sixth ground; gathering is the far-gone one, which is the seventh ground; near gathering is the immovable one, which is the eighth ground; the charnel ground is the good intelligence, which is the ninth ground; the near charnel ground is the cloud of dharma, which is the tenth ground. These are also the channels such as the non-retreating one, and the elements such as the generation of semen flowing from them, are completely purified in the dūti, and the knots of the central channel are released in accordance with the number of channels, and when filled with the two types of bodhicitta, the nature of mind is transformed into co-emergent wisdom, which is called the ground. That is to say, the ten grounds of the actual secret stage are the coarse channels and elements that become clear, and the co-emergent bliss that can manifest the co-emergent nature. And the ten grounds of the result of the secret stage, the noble path, are the channels and elements of the nature of the path that are clear, and are absorbed into the dūti of the original four natures. The co-emergent nature is transformed by subtle bliss, and is the most vast of those. Here, the "ten grounds such as abiding" that appear in many texts are a typo, because in Chinese it is "Pí tuó tí dá shě nà zhà yǎ," which means the channel of "Nāṭāya." However, according to the translation of Ngok, "Ten kinds such as abiding, the channels are twenty-four." This explanation is easy to understand. The translation of Drok says, "Divided into twenty-four, ten channels such as abiding." This is similar to the usual saying. In both sets of ten grounds, the names of abiding and very joyful, etc.
