如是八大忿怒尊,身披虎皮,以蛇为饰,以头颅鬘束发,佩戴项链,与薄伽梵(bhagavan,梵文罗马拟音,具 भगवन्,有福者)自身身相无别,安住于烈焰之中。在提婆阿嘎ra(deva akara,梵文罗马拟音,提婆阿嘎ra)的修法中,有白歌女等身色略有不同,但没有不合适的。

Thus, the eight great wrathful ones are adorned with tiger skins and snakes, their hair bound with garlands of heads, wearing necklaces, their appearance identical to that of the Blessed One (Bhagavan), and residing amidst blazing flames. In the sadhana of Deva Akara, there are slight differences in body color, such as the white singer, but there is nothing inappropriate. In that sadhana, there is only the method of hooking and drawing with the vajra hook, etc., but it is not clear where to place it in the mandala. Nagarjuna says that the wrathful ones with various colors and blazing garlands of light hold five emblems in their hands, and apart from mentioning the method of meditating on the five families, no other deities are placed in the mandala. Only during the offering are the hooking and drawing with the vajra hook, etc., and coquetry, etc., briefly placed. There is no mention of the four consorts. The words quoted above are in the mandala of the main deity's realization, so their meaning is that the six-faced wrathful one differs from the others in that the body color and the last emblem of the right hand are transformed into the emblems of their respective families. However, the intention of the tantra is to explain it in the usual way. I think it would be better to remove the cushions of these four gatekeepers. It is said that this was done by Ra Yeshe Senge, and Rongba Sher Senge and Gya Ton's sadhana unanimously agree that the northern gatekeeper holds a mirror in his hand, and the name is also called Vajra Mirror. They believe that all four gatekeepers hold a bell in their left hand. These two are great holders of the Ra tradition in the east and west, respectively, and because the statements are consistent, it is clear that Ra Lotsawa's instructions are not wrong. According to that tradition, the right hand of Vajra Subjugator holds a mirror. The mirror also pleases the deities, so there is no inconsistency with the order of hooking, binding, and pleasing. However, in the texts of the sadhana, the mudra of subjugation is usually said to be the bell mudra, and Rawa himself also does this in practice. Therefore, the view of the Ra school itself is that the emblems of the right hands of the other three gatekeepers are more important, while the emblem of the left hand of Vajra Subjugator is more important. But in general, it is appropriate to explain it in the usual way.

Those are the emanations of the retinue deities. For all the deities of the mandala, in the eyes, from kṣīṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari kṣīṃ, Sanskrit Romanized kshim, essence of earth), arises the white Kshitigarbha, holding a wheel. In the ears, from jriṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari jriṃ, Sanskrit Romanized jrim, vajra), arises the black Vajrapani, holding a vajra. In the nose, from khaṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari khaṃ, Sanskrit Romanized kham, essence of space), arises the yellow Akashagarbha, holding a jewel. In the tongue, from gaṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari gaṃ, Sanskrit Romanized gam, speech), arises the red Avalokiteshvara, holding a lotus. In the forehead, from skaṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari skaṃ, Sanskrit Romanized skam, gathering), arises the green Sarvanivaranaviskambhin, holding a crossed vajra. On the crown of the head, from oṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari oṃ, Sanskrit Romanized om, body), arises the white Body Vajra, holding a wheel. In the throat, from āḥ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari āḥ, Sanskrit Romanized ah, speech), arises the red Speech Vajra, holding a lotus. In the heart, from hūṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari hūṃ, Sanskrit Romanized hum, mind), arises the blue Mind Vajra, holding a vajra. All of them are peaceful, adorned with silk and jewel ornaments, seated on a lotus and moon cushion in vajra posture. The right hand holds their respective emblems at the heart, and the left hand leans on a bell at the hip. Invite all the Buddhas to appear in the form of the deities of Body, Speech, and Mind Vajra, and offer them with various offerings. All the three places of all the deities dissolve into the three vajras. oṃ sarvatathāgatakāyavajrasvabhāvako'haṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari oṃ sarvatathāgatakāyavajrasvabhāvako'haṃ, Sanskrit Romanized om sarva tathagata kaya vajra svabhava ko 'ham, Om, I am the nature of the body vajra of all tathagatas). Similarly, apply it to speech and mind as well. From the hūṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari hūṃ, Sanskrit Romanized hum, mind) in the heart of the main deity, light radiates. Invite the wisdom being deities of the Bhagavan Yamantaka, the assembly of deities, in the sky in front, vajrasamājaḥ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari vajrasamājaḥ, Sanskrit Romanized vajra samajaḥ, Vajra Samaja). Open the vajra palms. oṃ arghaṃ pratīccha svāhā (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari oṃ arghaṃ pratīccha svāhā, Sanskrit Romanized om argham praticcha svaha, Om, sacred water, receive, svaha). Offer the argham. pravarasatkara pratīccha svāhā (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari pravarasatkara pratīccha svāhā, Sanskrit Romanized pravara satkara praticcha svaha, excellent offering, receive, svaha). Offer the foot-washing water. The mudra for this is to make a fist, pick up flowers etc. with the thumb and index finger, then open the middle finger etc., with the palm facing upwards. Then, in a common way, offer from flowers to sounds. With the mantras and mudras of the four doorkeepers, such as oṃ vajrāṅkuśa (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari oṃ vajrāṅkuśa, Sanskrit Romanized om vajra ankusha, Om, vajra hook), perform the hooking, drawing in, binding, and pleasing as described above. Again, from the hūṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari hūṃ, Sanskrit Romanized hum, mind) in the heart, light radiates. Invite the five families of empowerment deities with their retinues, vajrasamājaḥ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari vajrasamājaḥ, Sanskrit Romanized vajra samajaḥ, Vajra Samaja). Offer the five desirable objects, such as flowers. By reciting oṃ abhiṣiñcatu māṃ sarvatathāgata (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari oṃ abhiṣiñcatu māṃ sarvatathāgata, Sanskrit Romanized om abhishincatu mam sarva tathagata, Om, may all the tathagatas consecrate me), and requesting, at the end of "The Great Empowerment Vajra", recite: oṃ sarvatathāgata abhiṣekata samaya śrīye hūṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari oṃ sarvatathāgata abhiṣekata samaya śrīye hūṃ, Sanskrit Romanized om sarva tathagata abhisekata samaya shriye hum, Om, all tathagatas consecrate, oath, auspicious, Hum). Thus, perform the empowerment. The bodies of all the deities are filled with streams of nectar, purifying the two obscurations, and manifesting the five wisdoms. From the remaining water swirling upwards, the main deity is adorned with Akshobhya as a head ornament, or before.
