and distributed to all the main people. Each of them ate from it. At the end of everyone, the one with the complete hand thought to eat, and cut the fruit in half with a knife, the king along with about three hundred attendants had their necks cut off at the same time, and their heads fell to the ground. Then that place was also taken away by the essence bindu. It is said so. These are symbols, and the others are also of the same kind. Again, after those, in the land of Malabar, there came a Brahmin named Well Accomplished. He requested Yama, the Lord of Death, from a mantra master and practiced it. As a result, the vidyā-mantra was accomplished, and all subtle tasks were unobstructed. However, becoming weary of various tasks, he settled in a cave near the city called Kakshana on the border of the land of Maru. He benefited many people with the power of vidyā-mantra and lived there. Those city dwellers previously only believed in non-Buddhists, but at that time, most of them came to believe in Buddhists. The king there, a petty king, also came to visit again and again. Not far from there, there was a large stone slab about a fathom thick, about fifteen fathoms long and wide. He ordered a powerful yaksha (གནོད་སྦྱིན་སྟོབས་པོ་, yakṣa, yakṣa, powerful spirit) to take it and use it as a door to cover the cave where he lived. When that king came one day earlier, he didn't see it, but when he came the next day, he saw it there and was amazed, and revered that teacher as a lama. Then that king also became powerful and ruled over many places such as Saurashtra. There, the non-Buddhist teachers, Soma Acharya and others, became jealous and discussed: "The flourishing of Buddhism everywhere in this region is due to this Brahmin. Who can kill him?" But no one dared to undertake it, because he had accomplished the vidyā-mantra, so nothing, neither fire, water, weapons, nor poison, could harm him. Then one day, two non-Buddhist poor people, small in body, ragged in clothes, and looking very miserable, agreed to do it. Those non-Buddhists also promised to give them a hundred thousand gold coins as a reward. Then those two went to the Brahmin Well Accomplished.

They went to a certain place and worked as servants. Later, although the Brahmin knew their intentions, he thought there was no harm and let them be. Previously, the Brahmin's guru, a mantra practitioner, would hang a Brahmin thread made of human hair on the door frame when he went to bathe. When the Brahmin Lekdrub's head touched it, he angrily cut it off and threw it away. Because of this, the guru was a little displeased and cursed him. The two servants also knew about this and were always looking for an opportunity. At that time, the Brahmin Lekdrub sent the two servants to the land of Saurashtra, telling them to deliver this bundle of sugarcane branches to Soma Acharya. They did as they were told, and as a result, all the strongholds of the heretics were destroyed, and Soma Acharya and his entourage died. After that, the two returned. Once, the Brahmin Lekdrub carelessly left the mantra thread aside and went to bathe. The two servants took the thread, wrapped it around a sword, and cut off the Brahmin's neck, severing it completely. Thinking that they had now killed him, they took the head and the two fled to Saurashtra. They hung the head on a treetop, raised it up, and went to the remaining heretical places. They shouted, "The Brahmin Lekdrub is dead, now enjoy the gold and wealth!" Thereupon the heretics gathered there, overjoyed and amazed. The Brahmin Lekdrub, because of his mantra accomplishment, had not died, and thought, "Now the guru's curse has been fulfilled, and those things have been accomplished." He was very happy, and his headless body followed the two heretical messengers all the way to the land of Saurashtra. The heretics and many people gathered there to watch the celebration, and he came there dancing. As soon as they saw him, the two former servants and about five hundred heretics vomited blood and died. The city of the heretical lay practitioners was also burned by fire. After that, the Brahmin Lekdrub picked up his own head, put it back in its original place, and it was restored. After that, he returned to his original place, wrote down the eight thousand rituals of subduing Yamantaka, explained a little to three disciples, and hid the scriptures in a rock. Soon after, he disappeared into that cave.

Therefore, the accomplishment of Mahamudra was not attained, and it is said to be a common vidyadhara. That place is Goradzawa, named the Fiercely Burning Place, which is a very strict cemetery that still exists today. It is said that the barbarians cannot go there. Also, a teacher of the common people named Kamala Kara pleased a monk mantra practitioner named Dzala Hari, requested Yamantaka, and practiced. After a few years, the mantra was accomplished and the deity was also seen. In the western region called Bhara Patana, there was a place with twelve villages, living by begging and residing in the forest. That place initially had many devotees, but later, Brahmins and barbarian monks came in a competitive manner and transformed all the places into wrong views. There, Kamala Kara practiced with many powerful non-humans as consorts, transforming them into the forms of human women, and went to the city with them. The people of the city gathered and said: These Buddhists have no truth at all. These people used to pretend to be celibates, but now they walk around the city with women. Everyone clapped and laughed. Kamala Kara became angry and slammed the bowl on the ground, causing a terrible earthquake. The people, livestock, and houses of the twelve villages sank underground without even a trace of where they had been. Because of the great sin committed there, that teacher did not attain accomplishment, lived for three hundred years, and had no obstacles in his ability to benefit or harm. He lived on the mountains of Saka and Bakar, enjoying pleasures like the gods. The fame of Yamantaka Khenpo Tsering also came from there. This is just a symbolic telling of the story. Those are generally the ways in which the Yamantaka dharma cycles arose, and the ways in which the vidya mantras are accomplished. It is said that the tantras of the Red, Black, and Terrifying Three were not very popular in the human realm at that time. It is said that the tantras also rely solely on the outer tantras of secret mantra, but that is not necessarily the case, as there seem to be many that rely on the Unsurpassed Yoga. After that, after a period of about a hundred years, the vidya mantra of the wrathful deity Yamantaka.
