The act of adjusting is the six winds of holding, and the six that cause the appearance of form, etc. to arise for the six consciousnesses are called the six winds of what is held. If we say the twelve radiant winds and the twelve winds of grasping and being grasped, then the five root winds and the pervasive mind wind, these six, are divided into two each of internal absorption and external dispersion. The element and type from which these arise are easy to understand because they are symbolized by the purity of the gods, and the color is similar to it. The meaning of the wind acting as the mount of consciousness is that consciousness itself is not a form, so it does not have the ability to actually grasp forms, so consciousness mixes with the wind and performs all actions such as going to and from objects, and that is the reason. Also, from the point of view of nomenclature, it is merely in name that the wind of the mount of light that produces death, etc. at the base stage, and the wind of the mount of the light of the metaphor at the path stage, and the wind that realizes the meaning of light, although the essence is different, the kind of things is the same. As mentioned above, it is called the indestructible wind that resides in the center of the heart drop. The Vajra Garland says, "In the lotus heart in the sky, the wisdom vajra always resides." And, "The great lord, the immovable one, the world realm is that place, there is the place of constant dwelling, named the wisdom of life." The winds of the three appearances of the base and path stages reside in the knots of the channels of the chakras such as the heart, in a manner coarser than the former. Although these winds are the masters of all other winds, they do not arise and dissolve outwards, whether as the main or secondary. For the ten coarse winds, there are also three coarsenesses relative to themselves, that is, from the point of view of being the cause of discrimination, the abiding that is mixed with the channel element and does not move is subtle, moving, vibrating, and rotating in their respective positions, and being the cause of the increase and decrease of the internal element is medium, and running in the outer doors, producing the manifest actions of body and speech, and diseases and old age, etc. is coarse.
