has been taught. Again, the mantra practitioner and others enter into the thusness as the main deity. Then, "From the mandala dwelling," etc., is aroused and erected with song. Thus, "Truly perfect qualities," etc., is praise, and thus, offering with wheels, etc., has also been taught. One's own wheels, etc., are to be gathered closely, and the actions of the session break have also been taught. When the mantra practitioner focuses on samadhi, "When," etc., generates the splendor of the practitioner. Imagine about a cubit above the crown of the head, a circle of the moon arising from vaṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,vam, water). Below that is the nature of the five Buddhas. White Oṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,om,perfection) with the head pointing downwards. From that, the essence of the five wisdoms, nectar of five colors, descends. Think that the entire body, from the crown of the head to the end of the soles of the feet, is filled. This is the essence extraction of samadhi. Thus, "The mantra practitioner who is learning," etc., teaches the yoga of food. Thus, etc., is briefly taught in one verse. It is explained in detail with "Hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,hūṃ,seed syllable) well purified," etc. That is, after blessing the food like a torma offering, purifying the throat means imagining in the throat a red eight-petaled lotus arising from hrīḥ (藏文,梵文天城体,hrīḥ,great compassion), with a blue hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,hūṃ,seed syllable) at its center, and the letter Oṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,om,perfection) at the tip of the central hollow tube of the five-pronged vajra. Imagine that light radiates from it and strikes the food. Purifying the heart means imagining three flames radiating from a blue hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,hūṃ,seed syllable) on a variegated lotus sun disc. Imagine the hands in the gesture of pouring and receiving. By propelling the light of Oṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,om,perfection), through the hollow tube of the vajra, offer the nature of the hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,hūṃ,seed syllable) letter in the heart, the essence of all the deities gathered, as an inner fire offering. Here, the "sound of clouds" is the name of the letter Oṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,om,perfection). Some also say to visualize the throat as the shape of a conch shell. Some say that this means only that the lines of the throat are like the spiral of a conch shell, not that one should visualize the shape of a conch shell. The subsequent action is "Wind makes fire burn," etc. That is, in the secret place, visualize wind arising from yaṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,yam, wind). In the navel, visualize fire arising from raṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,ram, fire). In the heart, visualize earth arising from laṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,lam, earth). In the throat, visualize water arising from vaṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,vam, water). Wind makes fire burn, fire burns earth, earth boils water, water melts the food, entering from the lotus of the throat, the heart.

When it arrives, purity satisfies the gods. When it arrives at the navel chakra, like the fire of the syllable 'RAM' (藏文:རམ་,梵文天城体:रं,梵文罗马拟音:raṃ,汉语字面意思:让), it burns away impurities into ashes. Passing through the secret wheel, struck by the force of the wind, visualize it exiting from the lower gate. Forcefully hold the union of the upper and lower winds. By practicing in this way, diseases and poisons etc. cannot invade, and untimely death can be averted. This is what it says. 'Union' here refers to the union of winds. 'Secret lotus' refers to the chakra of the secret place. Showing the benefits of the inner fire offering is 'without order' etc. If it is necessary to bless food like a torma, which torma ritual should be followed? Answer: The root text of the Holy Round (འཕགས་སྐོར་) does not have a torma ritual. The great scholars of the intermediate period adopted the assembled torma ritual described in the Mandala Ritual Vajra Garland (དཀྱིལ་ཆོག་རྡོ་རྗེ་འཕྲེང་བ་). Also, some later scholars, in accordance with the same basis, have made excellent selections from the Explanatory Tantra Vajra Garland (བཤད་རྒྱུད་རྡོ་རྗེ་འཕྲེང་བ་) and the Lamp Illuminating (སྒྲོན་གསལ་) etc. Although those are not bad either, as long as they do not contradict the root text and tantric commentaries etc., the oral instructions of the lineage must be valued. Therefore, one should learn from the torma ritual of the scholar Śāntideva of Zahor and the Black Practitioner of Vajrasana. The Vajra Garland (རྡོ་རྗེ་འཕྲེང་བ་), 'Glorious Supreme Wood' etc., upon which explanatory tantra is this system based, and the dedication of merit to enlightenment. Although this text also has a translation by Chag Lotsawa, here it is explained according to the translation of the translator Rinchen Zangpo. The generation stage texts of this system, whether brief, mixed, or the order of establishment, all have explanations by the early Kadampa fathers and sons. Later Holy Round practitioners also have many extensive explanations. Moreover, since the words and meanings of these generation stage texts are mostly easy to understand, I will not elaborate. Just this much will allow one to understand the establishment of the first stage of this system without error. Furthermore, in terms of categories, the great scholar Abhayākaragupta said, 'It is said, the Bhagavan generated by the extraordinary faith of an instant...'
