Practice stabilizing the deity's image at the tip of the lower nose. To become accustomed to this and generate mastery, one should train in the expansion and contraction of the image, and the expansion and contraction of the deity. The second point, the definition, is: Because it focuses on what is subtle and difficult to understand, it is called the subtle yoga; and because it contemplates the subtle mandala, it is also called the contemplation yoga. Or, because it is the ultimate culmination of all yogas that must be meditated upon with self-nature contemplation, it is the contemplation yoga. The third point, the method of how to train, is: By being supremely devoted to mantra, one completes the recitation and pleases the deity of the fire offering. As it is said: Or again, all wrathful ones, in all solitary places, if the mantra practitioner recites a hundred thousand times, it is said that all actions will be accomplished. And: One who desires the fruit of all attainments, should perform fire offerings with knowledge of mantra. It is said. By being supremely devoted inwardly, one should abandon verbal recitation and bring only meditation to completion. From the instructions: On both the upper and lower tips of the nose, there are mandalas of bindus, mandalas of letters, mandalas of hand implements, and mandalas of bodies, with four divisions each. Each of these also has one hundred and twenty-eight combinations due to the differences in the main deity and position. The fourth point, the measure of completion, is: First, the measure of completing the training of relying on the object of focus is: finding the sign of tangible vision of that very subtle root mandala. If one finds the sign of tangible vision of the two root hand implements, then that is also the completion of the sign of that. If one finds the sign of tangible vision of expansion and contraction without effort, then the contemplation yoga is extremely complete. 5-230 The fifth point, the benefits, are: All attainments are the abode of qualities. Joy, the abode of enlightenment, will be accomplished. It is said. If one obtains this yoga and practices the completion stage, then there will be no difficulty in accomplishing the body of union wisdom, and it will be easily accomplished in three years, etc. By merely obtaining this yoga, if one wishes, one can instantly wither trees and gourds, etc.; and if one wishes, one can instantly make trees

From bamboo shoots, flowers emerge, and vajra bells are placed in the sky, and so on, various wondrous phenomena occur. All common accomplishments, both great and small, are brought under control. If one wishes to attain great vidyadharas through this, as it is said, "One who possesses form, sound, and taste, a wise person should meditate for six months." As it is said, by practicing conduct for six months, one can be conjoined with great common accomplishments. Generally, if one practices conduct without meditating on the completion stage, it is said that there will be a slight delay in supreme accomplishment. However, since the body of a vidyadhara has been accomplished, by relying on the completion stage, one can gradually be conjoined with supreme accomplishment. Therefore, this is not a delay caused by defects. Those who fall into wrong paths, etc., suffering, distraction, and accumulating karmas of affliction, and delays due to not being skilled in means, although they are faulty, this is not like that. Holding onto common accomplishments, even if one is dull-witted, because one is skilled in the means of accomplishing the benefit of others, and strives for common purposes, this will not become a fault of being dull-witted. Therefore, the countless common rituals spoken of in the tantras should not be understood as being solely for the purpose of pleasing inferior beings. The very word "common" is not only for the inferior, but should be understood as being the object of both the superior and the inferior. 5-231 Thus, having ascertained the detailed realization of the generation stage in the mind, now is the method of practice. In Chinese: Bina Ti Zhama. In Tibetan: Briefly Made, or the text known as the Stages Compiled from the Five Stages. For this treatise called the Stages, make a slight distinction of boundaries. Among them, from "Liberation from the conduct of the three realms," etc., is expressing offering through the gateway of prostrating to the realm of ultimate meaning. From "Of the glorious Guhyasamaja Tantra," etc., is vowing to compose, and is also the speech of necessity {connection [explanation]}. The so-called "Meaning Compiled" does not mean compiling the meaning of all the tantras, but rather the meaning of compiling into one place the scattered generation stages spoken of in the tantras. From "Habitual tendencies of conceptual thought," etc., also shows the necessity of the generation stage, and also shows the focus on great compassion, that is,
