Based on the ascetic practices of Avalokiteśvara in the commentary on the Lamp Treatise, the sentient world arises and ceases, so it is subtle; the container world arises and ceases, so it is light; both arise and cease, so it is the master, the truly attained. It is said that these are the meanings that yogis can transform and gather. Going wherever one wishes, so it is all-pervading; immeasurable splendor, overwhelming others, worshiped by all beings, so it is extremely clear; being able to obtain whatever one desires, abiding in joy, so it is firm; having the power to cut off and then continue to hold, so it is independent; being able to transform merits into whatever one desires, so it is endowed with whatever one desires. The other explanations of the predecessors are said to be due to the fault of not seeing this explanation. I think that the views of the predecessors are not flawed, but this explanation itself has problems, because that explanation quotes the views of the Tirthikas who desire Īśvara. Therefore, the body that can enter anywhere without hindrance is subtle; the body that is not cut off and destroyed by the harm of the four elements, and that can walk equally in the sky is light; being able to benefit beings in many places simultaneously with many bodies, so it is pervasive; arising from the power of samādhi where coarse appearances arise like illusions, so it is truly attained; being able to show miracles to others, so it is extremely clear; without fear and dread, so it is firm; at the appropriate time, achieving one's own desired goals without relying on others, so it is independent; being able to accomplish many activities and siddhis with just a thought, so it is able to transform at will. The detailed classification of conduct should be understood elsewhere. Now, I will briefly explain the classification of the ten bhūmis of the union of learners. That is, in the Vajragarbha Ornament Sutra, it says: What are those ten bhūmis? The bhūmi called Joyful, the bhūmi called Immaculate, the bhūmi called Illuminating, the bhūmi called Blazing Wisdom, the bhūmi called Difficult to Conquer, the bhūmi called Manifest, the bhūmi called Far-Reaching, the bhūmi called Immovable, the bhūmi called Good Wisdom, and the bhūmi called Cloud of Dharma, all the bhūmis are one meaning.

Therefore, thus is the meaning of wisdom. Wisdom is also that which is devoid of anything, devoid of afflictions, devoid of letters, possessing meaning, primordially pure, devoid of stains, luminous, and beyond expression. Thus it is said. Therefore, all the grounds are wisdom, and this is also the way to realize the primordial state. The state to be realized is that which is free from any elaboration of grasping and being grasped, the luminosity in which one's own nature appears in all forms, and which remains eternally in the unchanging manner of reality, therefore it is meaningful. That very essence has never been stained by any adventitious impurity from its own side, therefore it is primordially pure. Therein, the knowledge of the yogi, with the characteristic of being free from afflictions, realizes it, and the wisdom of the path that arises in accordance with its form is called the ground because it is the basis of all virtuous dharmas. The general characteristics of the exceedingly joyful and so forth are as explained in the treatises of the pāramitās, so they are not discussed here for the time being. The uncommon meaning is this: because the complete bliss of melting is mainly used for the spontaneously born joy of transformed nature, it is the exceedingly joyful. On top of that, because the main object of practice is abandoning the stains of wind and conceptual thought, it is the stainless. From the aspect of means, because the main object of practice is the wisdom of the winds being transformed, it is the illuminating. From the aspect of wisdom, because the main object of practice is the wisdom of the winds being transformed, it is the radiating. Because the wisdom of the transformed winds of the senses together with their objects is difficult to overcome by any external condition, the main object of practice is the difficult to tame. Because the wheel of the mandala of completely purified channels manifests, the main object of practice is the manifested. Because even the subtle stains of the three appearances without afflictions are abandoned, it is far superior to existence, therefore it is the far surpassing. Because the body is unmoving and unchanging, the main object of practice is the immovable ground. Because the speech transforms into only goodness in accordance with the minds of each of the disciples to be tamed, it is endowed with the wisdom of teaching the Dharma, therefore it is the excellent wisdom. The mind is as vast as the sky, possessing clouds of great bliss.
