And completely purify. If one truly understands the ultimate truth, Whoever can understand the one, He can understand the union of two. The conceptualization of things with all their aspects, and The conceptualization of things without existence, The yogi should practice as one, That is understanding union. So-called grasping and being grasped, These two minds do not exist, Where there is an indivisible mind, That is said to be union. For the minds of permanence and annihilation, Whoever abandons and abides, For this sequence of union, If one understands it, one is wise. Wisdom and compassion are one, If one understands and merges, It is said to be union, This sequence is the realm of the Buddha. In the equal absorption of skillful means and wisdom, If one understands from the collection of all, Where the great yogi abides, There it becomes union. Where there is remainder, And likewise no remainder, If such conceptualizations do not exist, That is union. Where there is no self of person, and Of no self of phenomena, Liberation from these two conceptualizations, That is the characteristic of union. If one understands the sequence of understanding it, One's own blessing and luminosity, Whatever gathers in it, This is the sequence of union. Completely holding and subsequently dissolving, Merging and likewise abiding, Then arising from there, Becoming equal is union. The conventional and the ultimate, If one understands separately, Where they truly mix, There it is said to be union. Focusing on suchness, And where one arises, That is becoming union, It is the abode of the inexhaustible yogi. Sleep and wakefulness, If one abandons these two states, Separated from sleep and wakefulness, The teacher says that is union. Abiding and non-abiding, Where all these do not exist, Completely abandoning existence and non-existence, The yogi abides in union. Liberated from memory and non-memory, Having the characteristic of constant arising, The yogi acts as he wishes, Abiding in the sequence of union. Liberated from attachment and non-attachment, Having a body of supreme joy, Abiding in the cycle of existence, The form of union 5-620 Completely

Meditation also. Actions and agents, non-different is the very nature. The place known by yogis, that is said to be union. The generation stage is one, likewise the completion stage, wherever the two become one, that is said to be union. The completely pure deity, here becomes impure, whatever is realized without differentiation, whatever that is, is union. Form and formless, by abandoning the two concepts, whatever peaceful realization the yogic power, that is the attainment of union. Thus it is said. Firstly, the union of samsara and nirvana is that all phenomena of samsara are not established from the very beginning, and the nirvana led by the companion of samsara is the newly attained cessation of suffering, which is also without self-nature from the very beginning. Not only is the self-nature of samsara and nirvana not established from the very beginning, but also the two concepts of grasping at them are abandoned, so that the absence of the two is directly seen as absence. Since the two, samsara and nirvana, are merely the appearances of sentient beings, the samsaric and the liberated, and nothing else is established, the nature of reality where the nature or entity of samsara and nirvana becomes one and abides, that is said to be the union of samsara and nirvana. Also, by abandoning the two concepts, the union of self-nature is realized. Secondly, in the union of defilement and purification, defilement is the two, suffering and origin, and purification is the cessation and the path. Although all of these are of one nature in ultimate truth, if we calculate the share obtained temporarily, the nature of suffering is the truth of cessation, and the nature of origin is the path. In short, the five aggregates of suffering are the origin of karma and affliction, the cessation is the abandonment of their exhaustion, and the path is the means of abandoning the three. Like illusion abandoning illusion, there is nothing truly established other than mere appearance. The ultimate nature of these is that from the time when karma, affliction, and suffering appear to exist, they are without essence, and because of that absence, abandoning them by means and the appearance of having abandoned them are not truly established. Therefore, knowing that their ultimate nature is the very nature of wisdom free from elaboration, the dharma to be realized by what wisdom.
