For the sake of showing, to the individual who has perfected the illusory body, or to the student who is close to attaining the path of seeing, by showing the key instructions of the fourth stage, it is also to temporarily express its greatness. What follows from this is: "This is the self-born Bhagavan, the only self-nature great Lord, the key instructions are all given, the Vajra Master is superior to that." This is because the mind of the Vajra Master is the Dharmakaya of all Buddhas, the Lama is equal to all Buddhas. The self-nature of luminosity, the Dharmakaya of great bliss, born together, this is the reality of all dharmas, the Dharma nature that is accomplished from the beginning, because it is not produced by causes and conditions, so it is self-born. Because it possesses the qualities of the perfect fortune gathered by the eight freedoms, it is Bhagavan. That Dharmakaya itself is the Dharmadhatu, and for all of samsara and nirvana, there is no other reality more supreme than this, so it is the only one. The unchanging wisdom of great bliss, the self-nature of all samsara and nirvana, abides in the lifeblood of all knowable things, and possesses all aspects, so it is the great Lord. However, in the relative truth, let alone each and every Buddha, even more than the Dharmakaya, which is like space, the Vajra Master is far superior to the student himself, because the Master can give the key instructions that can place one in unsurpassed Bodhi, while the one like space cannot give the key instructions. Thus, depending on the appearance of the practitioner's mind, for all the Buddhas and the Lama, the two establishments of being both one and each different are made. Main text. In explaining the main text, there are two parts: explaining the stages of luminosity in detail, and identifying the ultimate luminosity. Explaining the stages of luminosity in detail. First, showing the preliminary empowerment activities, the actual explanation of the key instructions of luminosity, then generating the mind and making offerings, these are the three parts. 5-527 Showing the preliminary empowerment activities. First, since it has been explained in the stage of the illusory body, it can be inferred by analogy. This is also the hand seal that generates the wisdom that has not yet arisen, or it is called the pointing hand seal, which is the preliminary empowerment to recognize the luminosity pointing, rather than maturing the immature.

Now, the one that matures and increases is not just this. If we differentiate this, there are two: the empowerment of receiving the first instruction of clear light after the completion of the illusory body, and the empowerment of directly awakening to the actual enlightenment in the entry of the stages of clear light. However, since the form of the ritual is similar, the two sequential rituals of before and after are not mentioned. For those who have developed subtle experiences in the completion stage, even by making the form of this empowerment as a path for the purpose of giving the instruction of clear light, it will become a special connection that is complete, so it should only be practiced, as explained in the third stage. If we are to differentiate the meaning of this preliminary empowerment text, there are three: first, pleasing the teacher; second, bestowing the empowerment; and third, praising and supplicating. The first is: "He is truly to be pleased, in years or even in months, that lama is to be pleased, offering with whatever ability one has, the mudras that one can afford, well-trained and offered, in the center of the mandala of the gathering, offering as in the ritual, then enjoying the five desires, the great yogi becomes pleased." That is what it says. That vajra master is truly to be pleased. In general, not only is he to be pleased, but especially for the sake of the instruction of clear light, for many years or many months, offering with whatever ability one has. Thus, for the sake of requesting the instruction of clear light, that lama is to be pleased again and again. Moreover, pleasing the lama is generally the root of all Dharma, and especially on the path of secret mantra, pleasing the lama is the cause of arising realization and qualities. Therefore, from the first meeting until death, one must continuously practice the means of pleasing the lama without reservation. Saying, "The previous service was enough, so even if there is no offering now, please grant this and that mantra teaching"; and if one has some lineage, status, enjoyment, and power, saying, "We are the offerings of great people," with pride; and without abandoning even the thoughts and actions of evil people such as falsehood and deceit, only doing a little superficial listening and contemplation.
