It is clearly evident. Moreover, it constantly abides in all sentient beings. Just as gold ore pervades gold ore, because it exists in a state that is almost imperceptible, people are unable to recognize it. In states such as sleep and dreams, it is slightly more apparent; in the stages of death and the bardo, it appears even more evident. The reason for this appearance is that the winds of conceptual thought subside. At that time, the subtlest of winds, belonging to the nature of elemental particles, arises from the force of habit. It actually generates appearances such as dreams and the bardo. From this arises the intermediate wind of the elemental body, which first causes the gross body to be formed. Once the body is formed, the gross winds of the elemental body, such as the ten winds, arise. Various phenomena such as pleasure and pain, verbal expressions, and aging and death then occur. Closely connected with the formation of the gross body, the environment and resources also appear in a gross manner. As it is said in the Explanatory Tantra, the Vajra Garland: "Within the self-life that has become the essence, there is nothing else in the three realms. The three realms of illusory wind are seen like dreaming in a dream. Birth, abiding, and destruction, existing in the intermediate state, as measured by the world, are the magical displays of the wind of mind." Having said that, the appearance in the three realms is without essence; it appears even though it is not. And its essence, the doer, the done, and the agent, is none other than one's own mind mixed with wind. Mind is the cause, and wind is the condition, and the three realms are seen like dreaming in a dream. All the stages of the six realms of beings, birth, abiding, and destruction, and the intermediate state, are such that even though the appearances of the world are conceptually measured as existing externally, they do not actually exist; they are merely the magical displays of wind and mind. In the Prophecy of Intent, it is also said: "Those with awareness and those without awareness, these beings who are designated as sentient, all arise from the wind, and again dissolve back into the wind. The mind that has not realized, even though it dwells in the ocean of samsara, is inverted and confused, like dogs and jackals."

I am like an elephant, and the mind can also go like a horse. Thus, sentient beings go to various realms through wind and mind. All arise from the wind of clear light and cease in the wind of clear light. All actions of arising, ceasing, going, and coming are said to be done by the wind. Here, some scholars say that there is no inherent body other than wind and mind, but it does not mean that external objects do not exist. This is to integrate the essence of one's own doctrine into the root commentary and tenets. However, there is no need to conform, as it has been said before. Especially, Arya Deva in "The Sequence of Self-Blessing" says: Since external objects do not exist, these should be regarded as one's own mind. After meditating on illusion in this way, one should also remember it (the illusion). As it is said, in the state of not having examined or analyzed, the existence of external objects is not denied. When examining slightly, external objects are not established, and the arrangement of dependent origination of samsara and nirvana is made only on consciousness. Finally, even consciousness is not found, and the sequence of entering the ultimate meaning is done in this way. In general, all sutras and tantras, especially the intention of all the treatises of the noble Nagarjuna and his sons, is also like this. Especially, the meaning of the mantra treatises composed by them must be combined in this way. Similarly, the meaning of the clear light wind-mind as the agent of arising and ceasing is as follows: The four elements, earth, etc., and the four emptinesses are the cause of arising and ceasing. These eight places are known as consciousness. Great emptiness arises from clear light, from which true means arise, from which wisdom arises, from which wind arises, from wind fire arises, from fire water arises, from water earth arises, and sentient beings arise from them. Earth dissolves into water, water dissolves into fire, fire enters the subtle realm, wind dissolves into mind, mind enters the place arising from mind, mental factors enter ignorance, and it also enters clear light, and the three realms will also cease. With illusion-like samadhi, until one does not see one's own nature.
