Therefore, one should bestow upon him the grace of oral instructions. Here, the meaning of "or else" is that if other qualities are complete, or even if other qualities are lacking, one should adopt the attitude of extreme reverence for the guru. That is its meaning. If there is no extreme reverence for the guru, then even if there is wisdom and diligence, etc., it is of no benefit. Because even if one has heard many tantras and is well-versed in the teachings of the three baskets, but due to the influence of arrogance, one is separated from serving and respecting the guru, and due to the lack of service and respect, one's own continuum is not matured, and the guru is not pleased, therefore one has not obtained the transmission of profound oral instructions, this is because blessings have not entered. Even the practice that is beneficial to oneself cannot be obtained, and even if one practices, no result will arise, then the hope of being able to ripen and liberate others is cut off. Some versions have the word "mouth of the teachings," but some versions have "mouth of the treatise," which is correct. The so-called "mouth" is explained as full, meaning pride. And "forcefully mouth" is an ancient word for emphasis. Even if it is not adorned with the words of the guru, merely by seeing the treatise oneself, either relying on a one-sided understanding, or without reason, one firmly insists on a wrong sect. If it is said "it is so," then there is no contradiction between the two. Here, the meaning is taken as merely seeing the treatise and generating arrogance. Some versions have "power of the treatise," and some commentaries also explain it, but this is obviously a textual error. Therefore, the treatises understood through these have no benefit for oneself or others, and are merely a cause for generating boredom. Furthermore, if others have the fortune of respecting the guru and have obtained that unique oral instruction, if the innate intelligence is not dull, therefore they are able to understand the meaning and apply it to practice, then they have the ability to practice for their own benefit. If there are no qualities of language such as tantra and transmission, even if one is extremely engaged in teaching the Dharma for the benefit of others, one will be despised by others. Having heard many tantras and possessing supreme wisdom, there is no confusion about the meaning and non-meaning, provisional and definitive, literal and non-literal, that is, the meaning of the six places or six extremes.

Being able to clearly distinguish, possessing memory and wisdom, that is, intelligence, and a steadfast mind, that is, being single-minded and focused, possessing perfect diligence, respectfully serving the Guru, and receiving the teaching of suchness, such a person can benefit others, and such a person is suitable to explain the King of Tantras and transmit the oral instructions. Second is the dedication of merit: Through the kindness of the Holy Vajradhara, many tantras have been heard. With clear and meticulous words, the path to enlightenment is explained in detail. Whatever merit the Shakya Mitra has accumulated, may this merit, through skillful and clear maturation, become a vessel for enlightenment. The Holy Vajradhara, the reason for calling him the Holy Vajradhara, is because the Holy Nagarjuna is the author of this treatise, and to indicate that he is the root Guru, he is called Vajradhara. Meticulous means perfect words. Maturation means without effort. Furthermore, it is said, the so-called "Supreme View," the order of all purity and complete purity, was made by the spiritual friend Shakya Mitra, this is the second order. This is to explain the name of the treatise, the Supreme View, is the supreme method for realizing the view of the complete purity of mind-essence, that is, the mind of all conceptual thoughts being pure and solitary, and the detailed explanation of the order of the meaning of the three manifestations being pure light. The second order, the treatise of the Supreme View, has been clearly explained. After this, one must be proficient in the method of self-blessing and manifest enlightenment. Because, if one realizes through the complete solitude of the mind, one will not clearly realize the order of light, and if one does not realize the order of light, one will not realize one aspect of union. Therefore, one must be proficient in the complete solitude of the mind and self-blessing. Third Order, explaining the order of self-blessing. Third Order, explaining the order of self-blessing, divided into entering the treatise and the true meaning of the treatise. Entering the treatise. First is the praise: Vajradhara is the Lord of all Vajradharas, I prostrate to the Great Vajra. It means that Vajradhara, that is, Vairochana Buddha and all the Buddhas, is the Lord or Master or pervading.
