The previously existing habits of afflictions become powerful and also become the cause for the arising of various afflictions in the future. Therefore, all beings wandering in samsara have created samsara, which is characterized by various sufferings, through the afflictions arising from their own minds. Therefore, the creator of the suffering of samsara is not elsewhere, just like a silkworm binding itself with its own saliva. These are the fourth point, the way in which samsara arises. Next, the way in which samsara ceases will be explained. All of this wandering in samsara is not something that exists in reality and is truly established, but rather an illusion that appears even though it does not exist. That illusion is merely conceptual thought. And that conceptual thought is produced by the power of habits and the condition of the movement of karmic winds, so it is necessary to block the karmic winds with non-conceptual wisdom as an antidote. That is, with non-conceptual wisdom that has a direct appearance of the nature of reality, the habits of becoming accustomed to change are abandoned, and by blocking the karmic winds, the aggregation of white and red bindus returns to its original place, so that the sequence of the sixteen drops and the twelve links of dependent origination ceases. The previous streams of karma, afflictions, and suffering are actually stopped, and because conceptual thought has been abandoned, they will not arise again, and in existence, the arising of karma and afflictions will be exhausted. This is just that the wheel of illusion, which appears even though it does not exist, naturally dissolves, and that is liberation. There is neither something that previously existed and is true to be removed, nor something that previously did not exist and is special to be established. As it is said in the Vimalaprabha Tantra: "Therefore, what is called a demon is the impurity of the habits of the minds of sentient beings in samsara. What is called a Buddha is the mind that is free from the habits of the minds of samsara." And so on, it is extensively taught. In this way, the conventional person of sentient beings is merely the continuum of the alaya-consciousness with all the phenomena of samsara, and within that very continuum, the Buddha of ultimate wisdom always abides. Therefore, it is said in the tantras: "Sentient beings are Buddhas, there is no other great Buddha in this world realm." And so on, it is taught, and it is also extensively taught in other tantra kings and sutras.

Extensively spoken. The meaning of this will be known through the teachings on the path and the fruit. Eliminating Wrong Conceptions about the Causal Continuum Secondly, eliminating wrong conceptions about the causal continuum, divided into the actual and the implied meaning. Firstly, some scholars say that in this context, the impurities of the four states, the six impure elements, the twelve transmigrations of karmic winds, and the sixteen joys of transformation are the actual causal continuum of the four vajras of the fruit, etc. In general, according to the Vajra Peak Sutra, "Continuity is called continuous, and samsara is considered as the continuum," they consider samsara itself as the causal continuum. However, this establishment is not good, because the four states and other phenomena of samsara are only to be abandoned, so they cannot be the real cause of Buddhahood. Moreover, when samsara is abandoned, the continuity is cut off, so it cannot be continuously present in the three bases, paths, and fruits. Furthermore, the quote from the Vajra Peak Sutra is not in the context of explaining the establishment of the three continuums gathered by cause, means, and fruit. If one thinks about the nature of samsara, then that nature is not samsara. Also, many Tibetans say, "The causal continuum is the nature of samsara, and the mere absence of self-nature of samsara is the nature of samsara." This statement is very unreasonable, because the non-existence established by negation is not a real cause, nor is there any reason to establish it as a cause, so it cannot even be a necessary imputation. The mere absence of self-nature is universally present in everything, so it is impossible to exist only on samsara. If the name of absence of self-nature is attached only to samsara, then it is meaningless. Moreover, the Buddha of the fruit is also the absence of self-nature of samsara, so it would be a fault for you to be the causal continuum, and you do not think so. Furthermore, for non-existence, neither the reality nor the similarity of the meaning of continuous continuity is complete. If one thinks that there is an absence of self-nature that only abides in samsara, then if one analyzes in detail what that kind of dharma is, it will become impossible for such a thing to exist in the knowable. Also, some people think that there are two kinds of causal continuum, namely, that which is established by negation.
