Explanation of Sound and Meaning: Fourth, the meaning of sound relies on words, and it has a slight purpose of arousing interest in those who are attracted by the embellishment of sound quality. Therefore, it is explained by mixing it with a rough sound accomplishment. In general, it is said that having the meaning of abandoning the base and the distinction is a mark. Giving the condition to establish the base as a name, {name [or] change completion is called name and mark. That which has become a name, beyond that is a distinction.} Therefore, in order to establish it as a word, it is necessary to give a distinction. That is, first, the essence; second, the action; third, the agent; fourth, the purpose; fifth, the source; sixth, the relationship; seventh, the statement of the location, there are seven. Each of these also has three conditions of singular, dual, and plural, so it must be determined. Here, the Sanskrit word for abbreviation is pratyāhāraḥ. Starting from the root "hra ña 'phrog pa la'o (hra, to seize)," give the condition ghañ. Place the near transformation ā in front. Because the two ña and ṅa are suffixes, remove them. Gha is also a suffix. The power of the condition ña causes the life rā of hra to increase. The increase of rā is ā. It is combined with the condition a, forming āhāra, which means to cut off, abandon, collect, and food. Placing prati opposite it, give the first case s. After collecting all the cases and removing them, place prati in front and combine it, and pratyāhāra appears. At its end, give the first case s. The meaning of i is that the expressed meaning must be divided into the form of father and earth, becoming a divided word. Therefore, the senses such as the eyes grasping objects such as forms are the food of those in samsara. Abandoning that food is pratyāhāraḥ, that is, abandoning each separately. Or āhāra means collecting and eating. It is like collecting taxes and enjoying food. Prati is outward or separate, that is, very much enjoying or enjoying in one's own place. In addition, for the five faculties of wisdom, and the five objects of emptiness such as form, it also means entering repeatedly and entering separately. Also, from cutting off the relationship between the ordinary eye and form, to the relationship between the body and touch.

Śvāsa(梵文,श्वास,śvāsa,呼吸)是生命。 对于ina aca aṭa等,a的u

In the intervals of cutting, each cuts off the connection, therefore it is each cutting off. The Sanskrit word for meditation is dhyānaṃ. Among them, "dhyai" means to think. Because there is the saying "yuṭa is also", so give the neuter meaning yuṭ. Because the letter ṭa is connected to niṣṭha, so remove the special meaning of "o" of "i". Because there is the saying "ana aka anata etc. of yuvuja etc.", so "yu" becomes "ana". Because there is the saying "the end of the connecting letter is not vikaraṇa, so it is the letter ā", so "ai" becomes "ā". After connecting, the name "dhyāna" is established. To this, give "si" and connect "i". Because "si am" etc. are removed from the neuter word, so no statement is made about this either. Because there is the saying "from the letter a, for non-Buddhas, mu{self[also]} is", so give "mu āgama". Connect "u". Because the inanimate "ma" is followed by a nasal sound, "dhānaṃ" is established, meaning to think. This also refers to the meaning of single-mindedly thinking about the empty image that has become very stable after seeing it. As stated in the Root Tantra: "At the end of the sign is any line, to this do not mix various causes, all are practiced, yoga meditation etc. are also." The wisdom of the five branches of meditation is prajñā (Sanskrit, प्रज्ञा, prajñā, wisdom), thinking is tarkaḥ (Sanskrit, तर्कः, tarkaḥ, investigation), examination is vicāraḥ (Sanskrit, विचारः, vicāraḥ, analysis), joy is ratiḥ (Sanskrit, रतिः, ratiḥ, delight), unwavering bliss is acala sukhaṃ (Sanskrit, अचल सुखं, acala sukhaṃ, immovable bliss). From the distinction of the masculine, feminine, and neuter endings of these words, there are also explanations about the way of combining skillful means and wisdom, but it seems difficult to put into practical meaning, so it will not be explained here. The Sanskrit word for breath control is prāṇāyāmaḥ. Śvāsa (Sanskrit, श्वास, śvāsa, breath) is life. Because there is the saying "ana is also", so keep "ana". Put the near word pra in front. Remove from si. baca etc. are all aca. Give the suffix aca. Connect the consonant a with pra and the root's a. Add the suffix e to the life of na. Because there is the saying "among the letters ra ṣa ra etc., the na that is not the end is ṇa", so na becomes ṇa, therefore the name "prāṇa" meaning life is established. To this, give the singular ending of the sixth case. Because there is the saying "it is certain sya", so it is "prāṇasya", meaning of life. yamu means to approach and prevent. Put the near word āṃ in front. Give the root suffix ghañ. Remove ṅa, u, and ña etc. are connecting words. For ina aca aṭa etc., the u of a.
