Regarding these latter two branches, the former is a distinction of the purity method that primarily focuses on the thought of remembrance, while the distinction of Samadhi is the purity method that primarily focuses on the body. These distinctions are such if they are considered in terms of the order in which they arise in the continuum, but each method of practicing yoga must also be practiced as a union of skillful means and wisdom, so it is also acceptable to make such distinctions. In the case of withdrawal, the bliss of the mind abiding in space is the Dharma of the moon, and the union of empty form, the Dharma of the sun. In meditation, the freedom from elaboration of the mind and its appearance as empty form are the sun and moon. In life force exertion, pressing the vital points during life and downward clearing is the sun and moon. In holding, the winds dissolving into the bindu and the blazing of inner heat are the sun and moon. In remembrance, the body of empty form and the melting bliss of immutability are the sun and moon. In Samadhi, the movement and cessation of white and red elements are combined with the Dharma of the sun and moon. Therefore, in the Tantra, "A-ādi (藏文:ཨ་སོགས་,梵文天城体:आदि,梵文罗马拟音:ādi,汉语字面意思:阿等)" refers to the moon, and "Ka-ādi (藏文:ཀ་སོགས་,梵文天城体:कादि,梵文罗马拟音:kādi,汉语字面意思:嘎等)" refers to the sun. These two must be combined with the channels, decay, left and right, winds, sun and moon, elements, essence and blood, particles, objects, object-possessors, skillful means and wisdom, and so on, as appropriate. The method of combining "A-ādi Ka-ādi" as characteristics of the fivefold division is that the understanding will naturally occur through explaining these two types of divisions, twofold and fivefold. Second, the fivefold division is: In withdrawal, if divided, there are five: the yoga of withdrawal that abides only in the appearance of smoke; similarly, the yoga of withdrawal that abides in the appearance of mirages, space appearance, unwavering flame, and cloudless sky. In meditation, there are also five: from the appearance of smoke pervading the center of the bindu to the appearance of a cloudless sky. The five branches such as wisdom are not enumerated here, because that is when dividing into ten categories, and the reason for sequentially combining the five branches with the five elements, although reasonable, is not apparent. In life force exertion, there are also five: combining above, below, right, and left into one, from the earth wind bound to the central channel to the space wind bound to the central channel. In holding, there are also five: the winds dissolving into the earth element.

From dissolving into the clear drop, to dissolving into the clear drop of the space realm. Recollection also has five aspects: By the distinction of generating the complete peace of the Great Seal of Emptiness, the nature of the five signs. Samadhi also has five aspects: by the distinction of the five elements such as earth transforming into their respective abodes. In this, the two earths of the secret wheel are applied to the preliminaries. The remaining five wheels are combined by transforming earth, water, fire, wind, and space into their respective abodes. This is mainly done in terms of what is important, but it should be understood that each part has everything in it. Although all these five-fold distinctions are made in terms of the five mandalas, they are made into five by combining similar ones without counting the left and right separately. Or, the mandalas of the five aggregates are collected into the space realm, and combined as appropriate. Third, the ten-fold distinction is: the order of the arising of ten different realizations of the path, such as finger retraction, etc., and the ten distinctions of meditation, such as distinguishing between object and subject, etc., there are various ways of combining them, which should be analyzed and understood with reason. That is, there are ten finger retractions: from the initial appearance of signs like smoke to the appearance of the sign of the great drop, there are ten aspects with the distinction of ten signs. There are also ten distinctions of meditation: In the Great Commentary, it says: Thus, with the distinction of what is grasped and what grasps, there are ten kinds of meditation. That is, the word "grasping" refers to the subject, the five limbs of meditation; the word "grasped" refers to the object, the emptiness that becomes the object of experience seen by those five limbs of meditation themselves; from the emptiness of the object of newly attained wisdom limb, to the emptiness of the object between the unwavering bliss limb, that is, the five. Thus, with the distinction of five subjects and five objects, there are ten meditations, and this must be certain, because the emptiness nature is free from elaboration, and because it is an indivisible, all-pervading, pervasive one, there is no distinction of direction and no distinction of time, so the temporal distinction of each of the five meditation limbs does not arise, but in the mind of the practitioner himself, when the experience of the five limbs arises in a gradual manner in the way it appears, the emptiness is also seen as if entering into distinction from above, and this is the point of view.
