Having completely abandoned all thoughts, As a hero in the form of a deity, Without ceasing day and night, Practice diligently, and thus you will be able to observe well. So it is said. The form of a deity is the ten signs such as smoke, meaning that it can be manifested by practicing diligently day and night. Therefore, some views hold that meditation with distinctions is the completion stage, and believe that after prolonged habituation, signs such as smoke will appear at other times, which is unreasonable. Because, no matter what completion stage is practiced, if there is no sign of conviction, it cannot become the true path due to the lack of a sign of conviction. Since there is no sign of conviction at the moment, it should be known that these meditations are not the completion stage. Some also believe that signs such as smoke will appear near the time of accomplishment, but not for beginners. In order to refute this view, the commentary on the root tantra of Chakrasamvara written by Vajrapani says: "The signs such as smoke will become signs at the time of initial practice. Some say that they only appear at the time of accomplishment, which is completely violating the vow of the Bhagavan, and is violating the teaching of the Bhagavan that 'all thoughts are abandoned, and observed well in one day'." The worldly smoke, etc., that appear at the time of accomplishment, as well as illusions and dreams, cannot be used as signs, because they cannot truly burn, and smoke, etc., cannot perform the act of burning. Similarly, saffron, flowers, jewels, and golden rain are also the same. Therefore, if the yoga to be practiced is the completion stage, then as long as one practices single-mindedly for one day, the signs of the completion stage will inevitably appear from the beginning. Or some may think: According to the view of the commentary on the root tantra, the signs such as smoke that appear in the beginner stage are like the manifestation of mental confusion, like the clear manifestation in a dream; while in the accomplishment stage, they will be transformed into material phenomena that can perform actions such as burning. This idea may be possible. But in general, the ten signs of luminosity themselves have no distinction between whether they can perform actions or not, but for yogis,
