Even surpasses the subtle. Transcending the nature of the finest particles, possessing a subtle essence, endowed with the excellence of all forms, I prostrate to the Mahamudra. Thus it is said. Therefore, although the name Mahamudra also exists in the generation stage and hand mudras, etc., the precise meaning is only a symbol representing the Mahamudra. Merely meditating on emptiness common to Sutra and Tantra is given the name Mahamudra, which is very prevalent in this region. Some Indian teachers may also say this, but when establishing the uncommon Mahamudra of the Mantra path, such as the four mudras, they say that there is a path common with Sutra called Mahamudra, even if there is such a saying, it is only a source, because it deviates from the current topic, so making such distinctions is unwise. Thus, in establishing the completion stage, although there are slight differences in the recognition of Mahamudra, the main praise is for the yoga of emptiness-form Mahamudra. Eighth, Vajra Yoga is also called inner awareness, as the King of Tantras says: Awareness means inner awareness, also unchanging, the Buddhas have well spoken of it in this world. The commentary also says: Awareness means non-conceptual inner awareness, which is emptiness endowed with all forms. Furthermore, unchanging is also awareness, which is the nature of being without object and without outflows. Awareness is the nature of cause and effect, cause and effect merged into one, like light and burning merged into one. Thus it is said. From the perspective of emptiness-form and unchanging bliss, it is also said to be self-awareness, 4-412 mainly referring to the nature of union. Ninth, this Vajra Yoga is the ultimate Great Madhyamaka Yoga, possessing the nature of the union of emptiness with object, compassion without object, and unchanging bliss. Whether in the three stages of ground, path, and fruit, it abides in the ultimate place of Madhyamaka.

Ro. Furthermore, it is said in the King of Tantras: "Whoever speaks of emptiness and compassion as being inseparable, that side will not decline." It is said. This emptiness and compassion is also explained in the Great Commentary: "Here, whoever has compassion without an object and is free from conceptualization, emptiness is endowed with all kinds of excellence, and enters into the three times in order to know the three times." It is said. If so, the Madhyamaka of reality is: It is neither existent, nor non-existent, nor both existent and non-existent. It is also not the nature of both. That which is liberated from the four extremes is known by the Madhyamaka. Thus, the term Madhyamaka is applied to mere freedom from extremes, and how that reality is realized is also: All phenomena that appear in this way, if searched for with wisdom, cannot be found at all. That which is not found is the ultimate truth. Thus, when the appearance of objects, which are held in the manner that nothing has ever existed from the beginning, disappears by analyzing the knowable with wisdom, the mind that grasps also subsides in its own place. Only on this is the term "realization of freedom from extremes" applied. In short, nothing is established in the ultimate sense, and this conventional reality is only an appearance, and it cannot be said to be existent, non-existent, both, or neither. This should be the Madhyamaka of the ground, path, and result. However, the experience of bliss and the sight of images are objects, practices, and conventional phenomena. That alone should not be Madhyamaka. Furthermore, reality is a side of determination, so such a union that is established in common usage does not become reality, and meditating on it does not reverse the grasping of objects, because there is no contradiction between the grasping of objects as existent and the way of grasping. Just as the certainty that there is a tree in the east does not prevent the belief that there is a mountain in the west, so this thought is the arrogance of realizing the nature of reality through speculative intelligence, turning one's back on the ultimate meaning, and is the great darkness of wrong conceptions by those who have not understood the profound secret mantra. Although this can be examined in great detail, to put it in essence, it is like this: In worldly convention, if it is certain that there is a lion in a certain cave, then it can be known that there is no fox, and if it is certain that the sun has risen, then there is no darkness.
