Then, the equal embrace of skillful means and wisdom is the speech of the Thus-gone One, the yogi. As it is said, great compassion, luminosity, and unchanging bliss become one in meaning. This is also taught as the conventional truth, known as skillful means and generally accepted. Emptiness, the illusory body, and the body endowed with all supreme qualities become one in meaning. This is also established as wisdom and the ultimate truth, as generally known. Among these, the great unchanging bliss is the unchanging nature of the dharmadhatu, and the great bliss wisdom where the essence of the two, the support and the indestructible bindu, are mixed as one. It is the sphere itself, which is the aspect of awareness, free from elaboration. This great bliss destroys the suffering of oneself and others, therefore it is great compassion, because protecting all those who suffer is the characteristic of compassion. Thus, it is not only through the explanation of the word "compassion" that one enters, but it also appears as an aspect or manner of holding great love for all beings. Moreover, since the appearance of the two, the grasped and the grasper, has ceased, and it does not go beyond the expanse of non-elaboration, it is without an object, and therefore it is called compassion without an object. Furthermore, the bliss of karma-mudra also appears as an aspect of compassion, as it is said: "All causes of enlightenment should be offered with wisdom and skillful means, the king and minister possessing hearts of compassion." As it appears, the bliss of karma-mudra is focused on sentient beings, the bliss of jnana-mudra is focused on the Dharma, and the bliss of mahamudra is without focus, these are the three compassions. Moreover, the body endowed with all supreme qualities may or may not appear as the wisdom of great bliss. In any case, it is the wisdom that is free from all elaborations of the grasped and the grasper. When all appearances of the grasped and the grasper cease, it seems as if one will go into emptiness where there is no appearance of anything else, but it does not change in that way. That very non-elaboration appears in all aspects of the three realms of samsara and nirvana, such as the wheel of the mandala. That which appears in that way is also the appearance of conventional truth, or karmic appearance, or...

It is not an illusion, but the appearance of wisdom, or the appearance of dharmata, or the primordial appearance. Thus, if this appears similar to forms, sounds, etc., there will be doubt that it is the dharma of subtle particles. Considering this, it is repeatedly said that it transcends the dharma of subtle particles. Some say that the emptiness spoken of here is not the ultimate emptiness itself, but refers to the emptiness that is empty of the dharma of particles, which is a distorted statement of the profound meaning. This emptiness of all aspects is called the emptiness with characteristics. The "with characteristics" mentioned here does not refer to having elaboration, having characteristics, having conceptualization, or having effort, but refers to the fact that the object is the meaning that is actually seen and experienced, so it is the direct appearance to the unerring wisdom. This itself is the dharmadhatu emptiness itself, so it is the commonly known ultimate truth, and the great bliss is established as the relative truth. Although the great bliss is not the real relative truth, it must be realized through the means of relative melting bliss, so it is established as the relative truth in a way related to the relative truth. In the unique establishment here, the unchanging great bliss is given the name of ultimate truth, because it is distinguished by the cessation of elaboration such as grasping and being grasped. The emptiness-form mahamudra, which possesses all excellent aspects, is given the name of relative truth, because it abides in the dharma of the relative and its dharmata in a way that is similar to the relative in form. If it is thought that since the ultimate reality is the nature of union, the unchanging bliss also abides in the dharmata of the relative, so the name of relative truth must be used, then, although there is no difference in essence in general, that kind of quibbling reasoning is not applicable to this kind of different establishment made out of necessity, and the necessity here must be understood as follows: the unchanging bliss and the one possessing all excellent aspects are the same in essence, the unchanging bliss itself is the dharmata of all dharmas, but from the perspective of unchanging and bliss, it is only the nature of the ultimate.
