Having ascertained the absence, If you like elaboration, since all the meanings of union and clarity have been written in detail, it is permissible to quote appropriate parts from them and explain. The extensive explanation of signs and appearances can be understood from the texts on signs and measures. What needs to be introduced should be understood from the texts on inner and outer introductions. Those that have already been explained in detail will not be elaborated here. In general, it is necessary to have a standard for the types of writing in order to prevent impurities from entering the lineage of words, to avoid omitting the essentials of the philosophical tenets, to avoid missing the steps of the instructions, and to avoid confusion. However, the key points of the instructions and the methods of introduction should be introduced in accordance with the student's understanding, through personal experience and memorization. Merely relying on imitating diagrams will neither grasp the key points of the instructions nor truly recognize the nature of mind. However, this is called non-conceptual yoga, which means neither tightening nor loosening, without any attachment. For example, when mentioning "like a mural in a temple," Labdrön said, "The mural in the temple, with its dignified posture and smiling face, is in a state of non-thinking and non-conceptuality." Just like that, even while maintaining a restrained posture and view, it means there is no fabrication or effort whatsoever. As for the practice of non-conceptual yoga, the venerable Saraha also said, "Having completely abandoned thought and object of thought, abiding like a child, if one respectfully and diligently follows the guru's instructions, there is no doubt that co-emergent wisdom will arise." It means that the awareness, free from tension and relaxation, is like that of a newborn baby, not clinging to either the inner thoughts or the outer objects of thought. The so-called one-pointed yoga, although there is no clinging to conceptual thoughts, is focused single-pointedly on space. As it is said in the Dohakosha, "The mind should be held like the sky, the nature of mind is the nature of the sky itself, if one can make the mind non-mind, then one will attain unsurpassed enlightenment." It means that by blending awareness into space, the mind becomes like space, without any signs of conceptual proliferation arising. Through familiarity, the mind becomes the nature of space.

It becomes without distraction. The so-called "making the mind non-mind" refers to the fact that the previously scattered mind, through the power of gathering and abiding, forcibly stops conceptual thoughts. The example of "a monkey in one door" is that if you put a monkey in a house with many windows, the monkey is very active and will repeatedly look out from all the windows, so from the outside it looks like there are many monkeys. If you leave only one door and block the others, it will only look from that door and stay there. Those who look from the outside will think there is only one monkey. Similarly, if you let this mind wander, it will be with the five senses and rely on each of the root consciousnesses, producing endless conceptual thoughts, it seems like there are many minds, but if you stop it from scattering, the continuum of mind will immediately abide in one state. The so-called non-meditation yoga is: "Do not cut off the past, do not welcome the future, without clinging, abide in the sky, cut off the cause of the three times of thought, thus abide in non-conceptual samadhi." Not only do not think about the past and the future, but also for the things that appear in the present, there is nothing to see and nothing to grasp, so there is no meditation related to conceptual thoughts, so it is called non-meditation. Also, in the Doha it says: "The nature of samsara is the nature of the mind," please shoot with the arrow of ignorance and know it as play. As it is said, this is related to the clear and aware part of the mind that merges with the appearance of the sky. Therefore, all the arising of samsaric conceptual thoughts, just at the moment of arising, are self-purified into the nature of clear awareness. Therefore, it is called self-liberation yoga, or in order to make all the arising equal in the dharmadhatu, it is also called one taste or equal taste yoga. The so-called "play" here indicates the way of abiding of the mind, not touching the past and the future, nor touching the inside and outside, in a tight, relaxed and moderate way, abiding in that gap. For example, just like a nimble bird perched on a treetop, this is the way of abiding of the mind. In general, this is also a way of gathering the mind. For example, the metaphor of "associating with the middle one of the three brothers" is that when children play, the other party has three brothers, the eldest of whom is...
