If thoughts arise incessantly, cut them off immediately. If distraction is like a chain connecting continuously, use mindfulness like an iron hook to catch and restrain it. Apply antidotes to afflictions. If willpower is weak and mindfulness is faint, generate joy. In the state of abiding in self-power, do not artificially modify it. All the methods of settling the mind mentioned above are included in actual practice. At this time, the mind is clear, empty, and without grasping. There is no distraction, and there is no distinction between near and far. This is stillness. What can be done now is just this. As for the definitions of pliancy and so on, if it is not just staying at the level of understanding, it is difficult to appear now. Even if something similar occasionally appears, it cannot produce special effects. Regarding insight, there are distinctions between the worldly and the path of liberation, distinctions between having or not having conceptual thought, distinctions between analytical meditation and abiding meditation, and so on. But in the ultimate vehicle, for the emptiness of form, sound, smell, taste, touch, appearance, and the feelings of the body, the feelings of speech, the feelings of the mind, and all kinds of appearances, to abide equally in a natural way, this alone is insight. As it says in the 'Declaration of Intentions': 'Form and other internal phenomena, because of seeing, are called insight.' In this way, if you abide in the path of union of stillness and insight, all the happiness of samsara and nirvana and all perfect qualities will arise. Also, the text says, 'The complexity of virtuous actions is also mostly abandoned,' meaning that, in general, virtuous actions will not become obstacles. If you cannot abide in equipoise, or if you have gained stability in equipoise, the more diligent you are in the virtuous actions of body and speech, the better. However, in this stage where equipoise has not yet arisen, or is in the process of arising, doing too many things will become distraction and fatigue, leading to the inability to generate equipoise. Because the focus of this stage is to strive to generate equipoise, if both cannot be taken care of, you should abandon the others and focus on equipoise. As it says in the 'Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life': 'If you see that your strength is weakening, you should abandon what you were doing before, and abandon what has already been done in order to accomplish what comes later.' Like this, spending too much energy on many things that cannot be accomplished is a fault of diligence. Therefore, the antidote is to abandon, that is, to abandon many thoughts and focus on one object.

Some specific instructions, Repeated again and again, and taught the practice precisely. They were also made to meditate through the method of silent practice. Then, when ready, before entering the profound dark retreat, in order to let blessings enter, 4-270 Sometimes there is also a tradition of performing a Torma empowerment. It is said that apart from the particularly important ones, others are not performed. Later, not performing them is more common. Although it is not indispensable, But since it is the tradition of the previous masters, it is obviously good if it can be accomplished sometimes. On this, if the Torma empowerment is not done, it ends there. If it is done, then afterwards, this which is known as offering the body, speech, and mind is done. That is, the disciples gather. The teacher sits on a high seat. On mustard seeds or any flower, recite many times Om (藏文:ༀ།,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:唵), Ah (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿), Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), Hoh (藏文:ཧོཿ,梵文天城体:होः,梵文罗马拟音:hoḥ,汉语字面意思:吼), Ham (藏文:ཧཾ་,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:), Kshah (藏文:ཀྵཿ,梵文天城体:क्षः,梵文罗马拟音:kṣaḥ,汉语字面意思:恰), and then place it. Oh, if you want to see Pari, look from Tsuri. After saying, "Please take a good look at how I hold my posture," then show the posture to the disciples one by one. Again, say this: As mentioned before, although the body is free from actions, It is not that any posture such as lying down or leaning is acceptable. A posture with perfect binding is needed. A posture that is in accordance with the key points spoken of in the Dharma is needed. For a beginner to generate Samadhi, This posture is the most important. In the biographies of many holy previous ones, it is also said that at a certain time, mastering the posture was a way of generating special qualities. Some say that if there is practice, the posture does not matter, and if meditation is stable, it is not harmful even if the posture is not done, but even so, it is not that the posture is not needed for further increasing qualities. Realization will not be higher than Bodhisattva Siddhartha, He was not lying down, nor falling, nor leaning, nor doing this way and that way, nor being distracted, but rather maintaining the posture and becoming enlightened in the state of the three solitudes. Now, unless you are not accustomed to the posture, you must naturally sit in the vajra posture. In "Stainless Light" it says: With the determination of the Guru, at the time of meditation, and at the time of praising the desired deity, praise the vajra seat of the Buddhas as many times as the number. It is said. The reason is only this.
